  1. Well done again Rupe nicely done.
  2. Did anyone else try the charcoal!! Oh sorry I meant pizza! It advertised that the pizza was cooked in only 80 seconds! and they still bloody burnt it!
  3. A sheet of thin plywood or sheet of Perspex form it into a circle slide it in the dumpy bag it spreads resulting in the bag staying upright and open when full slide it out, to transport it lay it flat in the back of your truck simple and cheap
  4. Nice! I like that, very tidy setup Thanks Drew
  5. So is your system is the micro frog? Great link cheers for that.
  6. Thanks Benr that's really helpful.
  7. I'm looking to buy my first srt kit but not sure what to buy or whats essential?
  8. Well said!! I urge anyone that doubts this statement to spend time with one.
  9. The biggest problem with game is they are very susceptible to stress! You wouldn't think a chainsaw buzzing away in the distance would cause to many problems, however it does start a chain of events happening, firstly the birds will find cover, because they've been disturbed they stop feeding for a couple of hours, this then makes them stressed! The stress then triggers disease which in a release pen can cause high mortality!! each pheasant has a value of between 25 to £40 per bird shot!! Last season I lost 600 pheasant poults due to starve out due to stress at £35 a bird you can understand why we get up are own ass!! In my experience lack of communication with the keeper will result in heels being dug in further!! Just my opinion!
  10. That's a brilliant idea! You could then also practice your first aid and arial rescue at the same time!!
  11. Put me on the list if you do Rupe, I would happily pay for climbing confidence course.
  12. Free postage on orders over x amount!! what It should say is you probably won't get your order delivered within a week!! I would rather pay for special delivery to get what I've paid for within two working days!
  13. Laser guided throw bag would be great
  14. Cheers Rupe very decent of you
  15. Hi antipesto I'm really interested to see how you make your box setup with the magnum trap could you show more detail please Thanks paul
  16. I was taught by the same sort of old boys, My daughter of 4 loves it, she checks around the trapline with me and helps me when I make my wires by winding my snare winder and she never tires of it, one thing I can guarantee with her she will never go hungry! All the best Paul
  17. I've taken badgers out of fox snares nothing to a cat! I use a garden fork to hold the snare tight to the animal then cut the snare off the neck easy!
  18. Yes and then they release them back into the countryside!
  19. As a snare is designed only for holding an animal set correctly the non target snared can be released un harmed!
  20. I have to agree! I make a living from trapping and snaring and if done correctly its one of the best methods of vermin control! However if your new to snaring go and do a trapping course to stay the right side of the law.
  21. I've put fenns in empty bird boxes for squirrels, it works but you will still catch more on the ground than in a tree, in areas that are very public I dig a trench then put my tunnel box in and then cover it with soil just leaving one end open, push a stick in to stop non targets, you wouldn't know it was there and when you catch a squirrel it's out of site.
  22. Hi mate, they work well but very expensive! If your certain there's no poison being used in the area you can sell your sqidgy's to pubs and restaurants so they pay for them selves in the long run! I run 200 fens for squirrels and as long as you make some decent boxs for your tunnels and you set them properly you'll catch more, and there a damn site cheaper
  23. I need a gate for my garden so I'm going to try and make one!
  24. I stumbled across this gate at my local garden Center it's made of oak and I'm sure it is quite a skill to make it! It's for sale for £800!
