  1. I know when I'm beaten. Well done.
  2. You could perhaps begin by familiarising yourself with the political landscape. You don’t understand the difference between authoritarianism (communism is an authoritarian doctrine) and libertarianism (which is the opposite). Education, healthcare, roads, bin collection etc. All possible without government. I do most of that. And, respectfully, you’ve said twice now that I ‘pick and choose’ or am otherwise ideologically hypocritical. I don’t, I’m not and you’ve had no reason to think otherwise. Don’t invent things to try and help your argument. It’s undermining it. I’m perfectly happy to spend time sharing ideas on how to live freer and better but only with open minded people. Were you in the army by any chance?
  3. You might laugh but that’s possibly because you don’t understand what I’m talking about and can’t be bothered to research it. I pretty diligently avoid things paid for by taxation (and I’ve no idea what made you assert otherwise) and the nature of my philosophical and political ideology is that I don’t need to know the answers to everything because a lot of stuff simply isn’t any of my business. I just recognise that people are best sorting their own needs out rather than being stolen from and then provided with what other people think they need.
  4. If you want stuff, you can buy it. If enough people want it, someone will be there to sell it to you. And you’ll have shitloads of money to spend. And am I fuck a communist! I’m a middle ground libertarian.
  5. Still a big question but I think I can see what you’re driving at. Tax money is to pay for stuff so if states don’t pay for as much stuff, they won’t need the money. Dial back on war for a start.
  6. Big question. Not sure. How about we start with a lot less of it and see how that goes for a bit?
  7. I firmly believe that taxation is the worst human rights abuse the world has seen. It usually manifests itself as slavery (you’re working to pay it for about 80% of your working time) and then the proceeds are used to carry out a lot of other evil. It keeps people down their entire lives, never able to amass enough capital to live as well as they strive to. That’s horrible. My initial claim might seem bold when you consider more popular injustices but stuff like the holocaust is frankly childsplay in comparison. Eleven million dead in five years is nothing compared to everyone who’s lived in the last five thousand years (a hundred billion maybe?) spending their entire lives miserable and under the gun.
  8. Make one. They're not complicated things.

In fairness, I'd be a good part of the problem. I have just cleared the table saw out of the kitchen though.

Also bear in mind tax isn't necessarily a great contribution to a society. I'd rather people didn't pay any. It funds the government being cunts to people. I'd rather people made money and then spent it on stuff to sustain markets, get products available etc.

Amen. I'm thinking about getting a lodger and that's stressful enough. It's going to have to be someone I know.
  12. Infeed height looks better than any of the Urban ones I've seen.
  13. They probably don't.
  14. Yeah. They come off the helmet mount bit and you can take the muffs apart for new pads etc (hygiene kit).
  15. I think we’re all agreed that you’re an artist. I love seeing your work on here.
  16. Surely you can get the taxpayer to fund you leaving it piled across a public footpath or something?
  17. If the photo doesn’t adequately show, it’s a travel size with a short scale. I think I’ve got 9s or 10s on my strat. I’ve got acoustic 11s or 12s on my SG at the moment but in drop C. A girl I know plays folk with 13s. I was sceptical but they feel great. I’ve been dotting around trying different strings for years but I always come back to D’Addario. I really wanted to like Rotosound because they’re made in England and they give you a spare e but they feel dry as fuck.
  18. Aye, go on then. I'll send you a private message.
  19. Hopefully he isn't.
  20. Not sure really. You just seemed knowledgeable about it.
  21. Tell us more please.
  22. One of my Tanglewoods. Pretty low quality everything and the intonation isn’t great bit it’s excellent fun for certain things and good for leaving in the van. Currently in F# standard. It’ll handle E standard with 11s but only just. I’ll put 12s on next. 13s if I can find them without a wound G (the fourth fret shreds wound ones). There are so many guitars out there and they’re all pretty good so I thought I might as well pick a brand and go with it. I’ve got a Tanglewood dreadnought and acoustic bass too. Will add a parlour next although I might deviate to Faith for one of those. I’ve already broken the rule with a thin body Ibanez after all.

    IBC tanks

So would a shed though. Easier to work with, no rust, less condensation etc. You have a handle on the trend situation.
