Hi again just been experimenting with the resin with a black pigment added Works fine but you have to seal the wood( i use osmo ) otherwise the pigment leeches into the wood and stains it and its hard to remove it _____________________________________ he's not a messiah he's just a very naughty boy

Hi the water clear casting resin is good but if there is any damp in the wood itdoesn't stick in too well lokks like cracks but if you stained it with black pigment there shouldn't be a problem Can get it off ebay i find Ariba is good ,but remember the more you mix the less hardener.If you only mix small amounts it need to be 10 percent or so large amounts 1/2 pint or more then way less ,maybe not even 1 percent it will still go off Try putting cling film over it while it sets.it can stay sticky on the outside for days
  14. Hi The best stuff to use is OSMO wood protector and OSMO poly x oil they also do an oudoor version and a uv protection version Truist me its the best stuff invented and a little goes a long way comes in matt and satin,waterproof any body else had any experience with this stuff

  16. Hi Just thought i would put up a pic of the latest coffee table Slice of walnut with cracks filled in with turqouise Started attending craft fairs etc in the hope of selling some bits,and its going ok at least the house isn't so full of all my projects slackbladder

Hi This is going to sound stupid to some of you,but bare with me Does anybody know of any woodland for sale or to rent within 50 miles of Hinckley ,just want a few acres to relax in and tend the wood and maybe use some of the wood long shot i know but any help is freatfully received Been on woodlands for sale Too pricey by miles many thanks slackbladder
