  1. I've had a reply from GM a feed weeks back putting me in touch with somebody , thou after sending info I've had no reply. He could be on his jolly holidays . I also got in touch with Pete thou info may like you say be lost. It's Easy to put faith into online communication when I should use the good old telephone more often , keeping it oldskool. There's no harm in posting for comments , if a product has faults then I'm not one to just let it go. When I dropped my machine of for more repairs they were very apologetic again , which was good, I was showen hire machines the same age in a right state (thou I understand folk mistreat those). Clearly something not right in the factory 1 month left on 24month warranty , new machines now come with 48 I believe. Stay cool. Peace . DrGreen
  2. So , after owning a 150 for almost 2 years now it's now developing faults. Firstly within the first year , corrosion issues , in places that clearly shouldn't have this happen. then other faults including failed stress box (2 weeks downtime during high winds / lose of work) and now flywheel bearings gone Machine 200hrs , never abused as I keep all firewood/ timber size stuff Recently sent an email inc pictures regarding corrosion , as I'm just within my warranty, no reply , thou I have been in touch a few times . To be honest I've beginning to lose faith in a machine that I hoped would serve me very well and not look like a dog in 5years. The main issue is I've been in the motor trade for 20years and still have a part in a body shop so I can clearly see a major flaw in undercoating processes in the factory Before I take it further (to the top ), I'd like anybody's comments on there machines and coatings. And before anybody says 'should have bought a TW,Forst etc, I'd be doing the same if the same happend Thanks in advance folks
  3. ^. Well said. Awaiting my response from the factory regards very poor undercoating process. Considering I own a bodyshop / in the motor trade for 20year I'm highly clued up on coatings and most definatly disappointed by the current condition of a 210hr machine. With many faults that just keep coming 1month before a 24month warranty runs out (I see them now with 48) Top man at GM will be having a personal letter on his desk soon
  4. Few pictures of my recent motors. Had the land cruiser 10months , best car ever , was a replacement for the land rover. On a run 30mpg and doors 25-8. Unless I do just over 100mph Renewed my tipper in December , my old trusty 200k mk6 w-reg transit had served me well but it needed to go. After 4 years I'm happy to be upgrading the fleet to more reliable and comfortable transport.
  5. Mine decided to cut out as soon as you chip today. Reading. ALT. Alternator belt, but it's fine and tested at the battery. Any ideas from those gm owners?
  6. I'm defo purchasing one. Log delieverys made easier , less ringing up onsite , possibitys are endless Ps. ^^^^ I just bought your old tipper before Xmas ^^^^
  7. Looking to purchase one of these or similar if another supplier pops up ready for the new tax year. Thou 12k inc vat is my limit. 10x5 caged sides and I'm not botherd about tipping A few reasons are back issues and the council say I cant use my yard gates for vehicle access thou I can unload so lifting big chunks over the fence would be spot on I did think about buy a ifor, then a jussi timber trailer and bust it open and build one, however I've a car sat in my garage for 15year I've not finished so buying new / built makes sense
  8. Had my youngin 6months. Didn't have a clue when he started I was told I could pay him 3.30£ HR for first year. Joke. I gave him £200 week plus £20 cash each Friday he goes to college (once a fortnight) and if he is in on the Friday not at college he gets £50 cash. After 15weeks I got a £1500 grant. It paid for my stump grinder Can't cut hedges , sawdust brain , can't remember 3 instructions only 1 , needs to pick up the speed, ie copy my leg work on the ground (and I've a knackered back) , at 22 my 60 year old dad is a better groundsman but I see some light at the end of the tunnel At times I think I should just chip in another £50 and get a qualified groundymans because an apprientice was meant to take away some stress (working with your dad can be a headache) but the youngin comes from a semi wonky background, and has bills to pay In the new year he is getting his '6months to buck up your ideas and show some improvement' We were all clueless once, in whatever trade
  9. Cheaper rates up here but life's cheaper. And the folk are nicer

  13. Thought I'd bump this up A bit . Any tippers about? With arb body's if possible Low mileage if possible. Cheers
  14. I got a price for 4k up my way. But it was 12ft by 6ft tall. Built in tool box and solid roof. Barn doors and led lights. I priced up the materials , and it worked out a grand. Luckily I used to be in motor trade so when apprietice is on holiday il build my own. It's quite easy , if you feel you can do it on a a few spare days and save a few quid
  15. Djn at illegal raves and such Producing music Having fires down the yard This winter I'm getting back into finishing my mg maestro turbo project I've had for 14.5years!!!!!
  16. purchased a 150 in may 14 - always cleaned and looked after - very low 160 hrs few months ago i noticed rust issues under the paint , its now beginning to spread coming from a motor trade background ,even thou this is machinery this really shouldn't be happening. I'm getting corrosion in areas that for example ,on a new car, it wouldn't show any signs for a lot of years. can i have some advice from anyone at GM , as i know how quickly it can spread underneath paint , and tbh it must be an issue from the factory with undercoats / etch or weld issues, as its very well looked after. only needing a fuse since i got it cheers
  17. Home Mob optimised , FB and Twitter updates. Friend did it for me. Matches vehicles and stationary etc
  18. And the timber can just be stacked at my yard till dooms day. Nice swan on the trailer etc man. Looking at many different ways as have other projects in the pipeline
  19. That's him. Got asked as my brother had my motor at his place with the horse. I think heavy plant isn't the way to go as low impact is needed to keep it 'natural' for the horse cross country track. We shall see squire
  20. I can imagine a fast tow will be 10k at least ?
  21. Mitch. The jobs seems an ideal job for me if it's the one you seen. Burnhope area by any chance Near my house , few mile from yard. And it be a good winter job . If I don't get a fast tow il use a Timbertrailer with crane with the quad. Looking at options outside of just this job
  22. Looking for advice on suppliers of fast tow timber trailer with grab I know Rico do one, any other company's? I'm possibly getting a woodland clearance job, putting a horse cross country track around it. I could get a non road tow but for the extra cash a road tow would be useable within my arb work and firewood as well. Cheers in advance folk
