  9. Thanks for advice guys. I'm calling forst first tomorrow , as yes it's a lot of cash but in reality my old kit and cash to spend before tax year means machine only stands me half . Also looking at 2nd hand Jensen
  10. Heah thanks for that. Going Gm 150 or forst. There's a grand between them in total
  11. Right I've made a list of new machines and tele numbers. Il shall be calling tomorrow. Forst , Jensen, Gm . Any discount for cash ????
  12. The answer to above then is tw up the toon airport or greenmech (Oliver's in durham) right next to mine. That my friend is an idea too. Thanks. I thinking 150 Gm new or looking at the quadchip at masons
  13. Just looked at forst tr6 might fit my secret Jensen fetish as they seem to share a lot , heavy just under a ton but. 1k-2k cheaper than tw - greenmech plus vat
  14. Quickly looking at 2nd hand machines aswell, I've Seen a quad chip for 10+vat 400hrs 2010 which seems fairly clean , I did fancy a Jensen , thanks for the reminder I shall dig online for any for sale. Bandits seem built like tanks so maybe to much for my work type I was looking at dealer ex hire tw's but paintwork was ruff , hence for a few 'k' more I was thinking of purchasing new (I look after kit/OCD) My main reason for buying new was I'd know what the machine has been thru in it working life
  15. Hello. I'm buying myself a new chipper, l was going to get a tw150 (almost about to sign a deal) but then noticed the 150 greenmech. The greenmech is £600 more, I was going to go for a tw, only because I run a 125. I thought greenmech cost a lot more, it seems not, I'm toying with changing my mind. I know this sounds like the usual Tw vs Gm debate but I think I need to make my mind up pretty fast. Opinions please - mainly ease of use, servicing, blade change and bearing replacement hrs on average (I do fire wood so won't get hammerd) also they ok to run in 'the cherry' Cheers. Let chipper battle commence
  16. Can't you write a chq. I hate cash
  17. It's in bits being rebuilt at the moment. Just general idea if anybody's seen any for sale and at what cost. Seen a 09 was 7.2+vat. Only because I've recently seen a 150 which was a 02 same spec rebuild for 6k
  18. Evening. A little bit of help wanted here. I've got a 2006 125. I'm selling soon. I'm just asking if anybody's seen any for sale recently and what's there market value. It's had a repaint, recent new engine honda 620 I think, less than 100hrs, just fitted new bearings, hydro and drive pulley on shaft, new set of fins, new flywheel shafts too so it's had a lot replaced. I'm thinking 6.5k? It's a fairly clean machine working spot on. Just I'm getting a new 150 soon Long shot but any help is great. Cheers
  19. I worry being over wieght it's to tempting to brim my 10x7x4 chip box If the updated springs don't frown your ok . Still toying with the 6.5iveco and rather huge chip box
  20. Get some pics and basic plans up to plum into my 125 hydrolics
  21. Had another look on hmrc. Both these jobs are excluded from cis so emailing website link to both company's with invoices again But seems my future jobs will be due to there nature, I won't just price off the top off my head eithier, itl be proper pen to paper hourly rate Mine field out there but I'm learning fast
  22. Sound. Il redo invoices and get onto hmrc ASAP. Cheers again folks much appreciated
  23. Hmrc say work on private households don't count under cis. That one bit cleared up. The next site was land for sale just a tidy up, il keep digging. I best register anyways as if more work comes I best be prepared and professional , means also when hunting for work Im ready to start Cheers folks
  24. I just seen this , so thoughtful post it. These jobs don't count but I guess a site clearance for a new build would (best plan my estimate carefully for next job) ----- Basically the answer is no, unless the tree work for any particular job is being done as part of a larger construction scheme eg landscaping a new site etc. In which case, CIS would apply but ONLY for that particular job. So if client spends most of his year doing forest management then no CIS, but if works as part of a larger construction site then CIS applies. and client would need to obtain a CIS ref number.
