  1. Hi do you not bother covering them? Do you sell them as they are? Thanks
  2. Got a Burley Wakerley a few years ago, what a stove, serious heat, very efficient. A few problems, had to make a new fire guard as the last one warped and a new handle was replaced by Burley FOC. Apart from that, superb.
  3. Is it some type of Osmanthus...
  4. Sorry to sound ignorant, so which leaf has the notch?
  5. Agreed, stunning.
  6. Fair play to you guys, you really know your stuff, great knowledge. We went to Trebah gardens today ( they have 9 Champion trees by the way, largest girth or tallest in the UK, really cool place) and the Pterocarya is in flower so the tree in Hepworths place is Ailanthus. Thanks.
  7. This tree is in the garden of the Barbara Hepworth museum in Cornwall. Really smooth almost stripe like bark. It was raining so poor pic I'm afraid.
  8. Massive stores. I'm guessing you sell most of that!
  9. So do you sell the logs seasoned, but just left in the elements, so sometimes the customers get wet wood?
  10. Just looked at ours again and they are Valiant. What did you pay in the end?
  11. Hi Ash, is that 50 cube in the picture? They look good logs.
  12. I bought 2 for the top of our large stove. Think they were £50 or so each. Wouldn't be without them. Brilliant at moving the hart around.
  13. Hi, do you do commissions from a photo? Could email you pictures? Would love one of my dog.
  14. Must admit I thought his recent prices were very expensive. Do you know anywhere Berkshire surrey way that sells similar timber?
  15. Try Kevin at Surrey Timbers, he's got some amazing different timbers from all over the world.
  16. i have yes, approx 12%
  17. Yup. Just doesn't want to ignite
  18. Don't know what it is, thinking it might be red oak? Trying to burn in my fire pit with other very dry hardwood
  19. Just like there were no acorns last year. Millions the year before, none where we were this year. Nature eh!
  20. This timber has a moisture content of 10% and just smoulders. It was taken out of a coal bunker after, I'm told, being in there for at least 20 years. Why won't it burn, it just smokes, and then eventually obviously burns away. Any ideas?
  21. That's a pretty good leaf match. I'll try and get a few more images
  22. Posted a few identifies on here and always got a result. This one is clearly a toughie!
  23. Not a bean tree but a similar leaf. Hopefully someone will know
  24. Can someone please identify. Thinking it might be a Paulownia??
  25. Great stacks, how do you make them???
