  1. Ailanthus and rhus are totally different species
  2. they'll be dead in a few months. Too far gone
  3. Is that the 13 or 18 tonne magik? To split euc that way is impressive
  4. Mate saw this on the south coast today, no idea what it is.
  5. And me. My best mates dad had the interceptor when we were growing up. Absolute beauty
  6. It can only be a sideline for me. I'm reducing volume this year, haven't had time. Like Beau said its a lifestyle thing as I do love seeing a big pile of dry wood...
  7. Where’s the best place to start looking?
  8. I'm seeing how this works, old roll of wire and a few cable ties. Took about 5 minutes to make, holds the wood together really well.
  9. Been said before, just cos it’s been in a kiln doesn’t make it perfect to burn. Quite often the moisture is sealed into the log by high heat kilns.
  10. Mid table and side tables are very handy, all extras I think.
  11. Thor magik. I recently bought one of a member on here and it's everything a splitter should be, powerful, easy to move ( when ram in down ) and more importantly quick.

Hard and soft accepted if in manageable lengths / rings
  13. Hazel wood is just so good, it's a tricky one. If I was offered hazel kindling I'd be over the moon, it would be sure to get any hardwood log fire going.
  14. Do you cover come the Autumn or sell as they are?
  15. Honda engine is good advice. I had one that would run a mixer, full of ballast, struggled at times but turned the drum. 5kva but plug a kettle in the other socket, no chance.
  16. I've got the same machine now and I have to admit I'm really impressed. It's fast enough on half revs to plod on, pretty good on fuel and really safe. Nothing has beaten it so far. Very pleased.
