  1. bit of buggerin round with timing you can run some diesels backwards of course

  3. first saw I bought was a cheepo number and was crap to me even heat seized ringing up a big log, but sold it to a guy who only used it for chopping small firewood and it did him fine so I guess it comes down to how much you plan on working it

  5. I have to say for me putting milk in tea is a sin and drives me nuts when someone gives you it without asking sugar I can take or leave, these days my preference is for Yorkshire tea and ye canny beat a cuppa after a night out as far as im concerned

  14. aint gonna get big logs at Orkney council lol! I used to travel to Orkney regular and noticed quite a few places in the far north that had full lorry loads of firewood delivered mebe it would be possible to find who delivers they might be able to help you out?
  15. we quite often have to cut coppiced elms that get infected again, spend almost 6 months of the year removing diseased elms during the beetles dormant period , hundreds every year!

  20. horses for courses I suppose, might be good in some situations but still see it being hopeless in others ok if your big enough to have one for specific tasks but not really an all round sorta machine for others
