  1. I can just read the headlines now "Bath, AKA the Cizzer capital of the UK" easy-lift guy
  2. I am sure there are some sub contractors in the pen that could use some extra money to make it right!. easy-lift guy
  3. Jon, Try a 5 Gal Bucket of Cold water over top the door way and suggest getting an indoor room next time! easy-lift guy
  4. That was funny. easy-lift guy
  5. Would love to see the look on her face when she reads that little bit of info! easy-lift guy
  6. Capital idea. easy-lift guy
  7. Wisecobandit you are o so correct about working with different personnel or not enough or even worse when she is "floated" to another floor. Nurses are very much like trees when it comes to injury and healing. Compartmentalism is how they cope and some how still have a smile on their faces?. The pay is comparable here stateside but not commensurate with all the physical and emotional capital spent every day of work. easy-lift guy
  8. I understand. My Kim was just called into work at the Hospital this morning. According to her schedule she was not listed to work. So much for her schedule?, especially the day after her BD. No matter. Plans change and chores will be done. Palms to be trimmed at home and dishes in the sink as well. I will be working steady, my Kim will be working madly for the next 15 hours, ugh!. easy-lift guy
  9. Really, could it have gotten any better after what had just happen:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
  10. Team ANB, I think you need to understand that once the job was taken over by the employer the results were doomed to failure in one way or another. The decision to continue the job knowing the employer was in the wrong for the sake of future work did not pan out either. Accidents do and can occur, however the fact that the groundie did not come to the aid of the sub after the accident is either a case of gross incompetence or complete and utter disregard for helping an injured person. IMHO Two wrongs did not make a right in this instance. It was a bad choice to continue the job once the Sub was no longer in control and only got worse as it proceeded. easy-lift guy
  11. At first the OP read to me like he was hurt physically?, if the mistake was made and no malice was intended I would expect your boss to at least pay for the replacement parts and help you fix what was broken. If he could not at least do that, I would not be working for this person in the future. easy-lift guy
  12. Simon, it is absolute critical that you make the time for yourself and girlfriend. When I first started work I could and would work 5/6 days year round. Brought up not to work on Sunday, although I could my customers had a great deal of respect for me choosing not to. Time is the single greatest commodity that requires a lot of maintenance. How one balances time for work and everything else in life is one of the keys to healthy and successful life. Make the time, you will not regret the decision. easy-lift guy
  13. Besides protecting ones eyes a regular check up with your opthamologist is critical for long term eye health. I hope your dog has a speedy recovery. easy-lift guy
  14. Classic, and all so true! easy-lift guy
  15. Here stateside folks like that are know as being gainfully unemployed. Working all the social safety nets in place to the hilt and still taking more. Legalized theft comes to mind. easy-lift guy
  16. I also noticed the same over here. The mentality of some people or lack there of ceases to amaze me when it comes to spontaneous displays of real stupidly. easy-lift guy
  17. Iron Lady may you rest in peace. Thanks for helping my homeland become the First nation to break away from Nazi and Soviet occupation from September 1 1939 until 1993 when the last of the Soviet troops were given the boot and shown the door towards the East. God Bless you Margret Thatcher and keep your family safe and well. easy-lift guy
  18. You don't have to despair, after all it could of been so much worse for the farm worker had the branches not landed in a pile next to the barn to help cushion the impact in case someone fell out of the tree and on the barn below:sneaky2:. I bet H&S would have thrown the book at him otherwise:thumbup1: easy-lift guy ps, folks like that are to smart to learn, how do you think the help learns how to do things!
  19. I want to see the pictures. Pm them shots and I nearly promise not to share with anyone, ugh maybe the chat room. easy-lift guy
  20. So true! easy-lift guy
  21. Good policy:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  22. I suspect this would not matter in court since no names were mentioned and similar case law already exist for comparison sake. easy-lift guy
  23. I suspect he was taking his orders from his employer In hindsight not the best idea considering the results. Would you have fired your employer or just walk off the job with the story provided? easy-lift guy
  24. Your story was very well documented from memory so I suspect you will never forget the accident. Since the employer took command of the situation and relegated your job to groundie support. I would have made sure both you as a sub and the employer worked out the details of the takedown before he ever started with the saw in the first place. No doubt there was a complete breakdown of communication and the fact that an ambulance was not called right after the accident occured is a mystery to me?. As for your groundie, why did he not come to your aide on the spot?. I would of contacted the ambulance myself and made sure the groundie did nothing else until emergency services arrived. As far as the employer is concerned I am not sure what legal rights you would have as a sub contractor. Did you have a contract with the employer explaining all of your legal rights and responsbilites?. I believe you will need to secure and attorney in the end to get any sort of closure on the matter. See if you can find one that will handle your case on contingent. easy-lift guy
  25. Perhaps he is just into self mutilation? easy-lift guy
