Morning, warm Hazy sun shine and not a breath of wind here at 8,30, but changing a bit now with cloud cover thickening and that wind starting to pick up, rain n wind from late morning for us today,,

Well isla been here 6 wk tomorrow and I don't know where that went ??, she growing and learning fast and like most labs I have had she has the habit of collecting anything she can find, today we had a stick, a piece of beech bark, a log and a piece of cardboard, all was going well until our resident collard dove came in to the building so isla just watched it for 5 mins then back to the stash,,,

Even later here and absent yesterday,, its been 2 crapy wet windy mornings for us here, this morning was horrendous with about 60mm of rain over night through till lunch time,, hence we been in building cutting n splitting logs and Isla can chew as much as she wants in there at I don't have to clean up after her,,

Not to sure about the rope, but i use methylated spirit on my saws so meths will be fine on the metal items, give me Larch any day over spruce, as with spruce every thing gets covered in the sticky sap/resin gloves, arms, pants and saws,,

Bit late today but here, been out this morning and it's been worst morning for about 3 wk here, done sone heavy rain that was supposed to fade out at 8-9am well acording to met office at 11pm last night it was, piss wet through,,

Morning all, a bit late today, but approx 2,30am we had a large explosion here that was about 4 mile away from me, just found out it was a gas tank that went bang in a fire at a farm, je abd several others thought the Russians where here,,,

There is a lot of pups for sale at the moment that people cant get a sale for, as you will know i just bought another black lab pup, ok it wernt cheap but she was what i was looking for, to find a litter of black lab pups that are well bred and from good trialing working lines seems near on impossible ATM, if i had wanted a fox red one, there seems to be 100s of them and they are not selling ? i believe springers are the same and as for other breeds i aint to sure but there seems a massive glut of pups ATM,,

We been out this aft looking at some potential work clearing some windblown, so it's been Isla,s first time out in the woods, I know one thing it wont be one back n decker in kitchen tonight but 2 😂

They sure are having a good time, we been up in the trough of Bowland this aft for a cool off,, we been sat watching Grouse , pheasants, partridge and hen harriers and all this on my door step, last photo Is Purdey with head fully submerged picking stones of the stream bed

Saturday check in, cool morning here then pissed down about 11 ish but gone hot n sticky now, I got purdy the vets dog here again and last night we had a walk along the canal and these 2 had to go in, the pup surprised me just lept in with no fear at all,,

TBH it must be 20yrs since I bought any new fishing rods and they where some shimanno hyperloop barble rods that I used for bream fishing,, my pike rods was all ways the best I could afford as I new they would get plenty of use over the years, tricast I have several and I all so have some Harrisons, a lad who fished with us a bit had some hyperloop Carp rods that where OK a bit heavey may be but your not stood with it in your hand all day ,, i would think you will get a decent set up for £400,,
