  2. If they are now too close and they weren’t before, something very serious has changed! Bearing issue? Something worse?
  3. We still have a vacancy for a groundie........
  4. Sorry chaps. Yes Nepia is right, Edenbridge in Kent.
  5. Hopefully this can go to a good home: Access is good for any size vehicle. I haven’t measured it but truck is about 3.5-4ft diameter and 17ft tall. Plenty of thick straight stems and limbs above. I’ll be dismantling the tree in January or February and it’s ripe timber for milling or carving. If you’re interested PM, email or call me and I’ll send you some photos. Thanks Al 07834 414271 [email protected]
  6. I’m dismantling a large Oak tree in January or February and it’s ripe timber for milling or carving. Access is good for any size vehicle. 7. If you were finishing your course now and likes near me I’d give you a job tomorrow. IME (most) military people make very good Arb people. It’s the obvious work ethic and discipline along with the ability to keep the eyes/ears open and mouth shut in order to absorb information quickly. Sure you’ll do as well as you want to. 8. No I know that mate. It was a joke. Sorry.
  9. As above but make sure that the holes you make in the ear muffs are deep enough otherwise you’ll cut the wire when you put the ear cushions back in place. Like I didn’t, honest.
  10. Protos by Pfanner.
  11. I have a bit of Sirius that I want to get spliced onto a DMM Captain Hook. Can anyone do this?
  12. Hi sdullee I’m still waiting for your call. Thanks Al 07834414271
  13. Is there really no one looking for a job, anywhere at all is it just in the South East?
  14. Yes it is because it gets left in long grass instead of put away in the correct place so the real cost is a spanner nearly every day. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]
  15. That’s what I’d do if I had the kit to do it. Or the time. Or the patience. Or the talent[emoji23]
  16. And you have at least as much chance of getting hung up whilst descending and a branch goes up the back of you helmet. Buckle won’t open due to the pressure and you can’t ascend because you’re in a tight spot. Let’s face it, every aspect of everything we do creates some risk and presents a hazard [emoji849][emoji12]
  17. Thanks Bob Yes it does appear to be an 11mm as I bought a 10, then a 12! [emoji849].
  18. The magnets are in the wrong place to satisfy the H&S freaks.
  19. Like many on here, I have a Stihl long reach hedge trimmer. The gearbox in the head must be greased regularly which means getting the tool to undo the stupid plug bolt then press my grease gun into the hole to administer the grease. This process is extremely irritating and would be so much easier if there was a grease nipple! I have ordered several different sizes of grease nipples online and none of them fit. Has anyone had success retrofitting theirs and if so, where did you find the nipples? I don't have this problem with any of my Echo hedge trimmers because they are a far superior tool in every single way. Even when something does break, which is never, Echo are excellent at dealing with warranties. Thanks.
  20. ‘twas was on an Oak, until the groundie stepped on it and it broke off [emoji849].
  21. I’ve found some gloves at Kidmans ‭01892 530771‬ which are excellent. I can’t remember the brand but it’s the only one they sell. Very good gel coverage.
  22. Before the Tree Officer turned up presumably. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]
  23. We carry out primarily domestic tree work. Our commercial client portfolio includes only the companies that I like to work for because the work is nice i.e: No high speed tree bashing. Most of our work is in the Reigate area and it's very rare to travel more than 20 minutes. Salary will be dictated by your abilities, not age or qualifications although relevant certification is preferred. You must have plenty of initiative, be adaptable and have the desire to do well and improve yourself. There is plenty of scope to advance within the company, if you want it. Please call me on 07834 414271 or [email protected]
  24. Apparently there are two mounting units available. The expensive option is the one you can get from the Arb shops. The cheaper one that is virtually the same is probably available from everywhere else.
