  1. I’m still looking for another employee to work with us. We do primarily domestic Arb work, a small amount commercial, so the atmosphere is good. No trimming dog poos and no irate pedestrians! We are based in surrey with most work being in Reigate. Pay is dependent upon skills, not age or plethora of certification. Please call Al on 07834 414271

  2. I saw a brilliant farming movie with a similar title! ‘Ploughing Her Furrow’ Wasn’t actually convinced it was about farming so I watched it many times, just to be sure. [emoji50]
  3. Hi Zac. If you’re interested in doing some Arb work, please call me on 07834414271 or [email protected] It could be part time if that suits you. Thanks Al.
  4. I wanted the Peltor because they’re better than the Sena for being in trees but I was put off by the price of three sets. The Sena is a good system but make sure the wires are routed nicely and it’s better protected inside a Protos helmet.
  5. Call Charles at Arbrep Services if you need clarification. He’s Mr Jensen.
  6. Some of you will already know that one of my batteries is failing. The process to replace the little battery can’t be done in under one minute with a hammer, yelling and bench vice so the sensible option is to replace the power unit, or whatever it’s called. Only thing is I can’t find the unit for sale by itself. I know somebody put a link for it on a different thread a long time ago but I can’t find that either. Any help appreciated.
  7. One of my Sena 10s has a failing battery that won’t hold its charge. Does anyone know if the battery is available? I’ve search ‘tinternet but to no avail.
  8. Arbrep Services at Alton, Hampshire.
  9. If they are now too close and they weren’t before, something very serious has changed! Bearing issue? Something worse?
  10. We still have a vacancy for a groundie........
  11. Sorry chaps. Yes Nepia is right, Edenbridge in Kent.
  12. Hopefully this can go to a good home: Access is good for any size vehicle. I haven’t measured it but truck is about 3.5-4ft diameter and 17ft tall. Plenty of thick straight stems and limbs above. I’ll be dismantling the tree in January or February and it’s ripe timber for milling or carving. If you’re interested PM, email or call me and I’ll send you some photos. Thanks Al 07834 414271 [email protected]
  13. I’m dismantling a large Oak tree in January or February and it’s ripe timber for milling or carving. Access is good for any size vehicle. 14. If you were finishing your course now and likes near me I’d give you a job tomorrow. IME (most) military people make very good Arb people. It’s the obvious work ethic and discipline along with the ability to keep the eyes/ears open and mouth shut in order to absorb information quickly. Sure you’ll do as well as you want to. 15. No I know that mate. It was a joke. Sorry.
  16. As above but make sure that the holes you make in the ear muffs are deep enough otherwise you’ll cut the wire when you put the ear cushions back in place. Like I didn’t, honest.
  17. Protos by Pfanner.
  18. I have a bit of Sirius that I want to get spliced onto a DMM Captain Hook. Can anyone do this?
  19. Hi sdullee I’m still waiting for your call. Thanks Al 07834414271
  20. Is there really no one looking for a job, anywhere at all is it just in the South East?
  21. Yes it is because it gets left in long grass instead of put away in the correct place so the real cost is a spanner nearly every day. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]
  22. That’s what I’d do if I had the kit to do it. Or the time. Or the patience. Or the talent[emoji23]
  23. And you have at least as much chance of getting hung up whilst descending and a branch goes up the back of you helmet. Buckle won’t open due to the pressure and you can’t ascend because you’re in a tight spot. Let’s face it, every aspect of everything we do creates some risk and presents a hazard [emoji849][emoji12]
  24. Thanks Bob Yes it does appear to be an 11mm as I bought a 10, then a 12! [emoji849].
