  1. I’ve DMd Roger. Thanks chaps.
  2. I have a client who wants a butt carved. Location is Reigate Surrey. Is anyone interested in this?
  3. I too bad that thought and worked out the price of building one myself. However now that It’s been delivered, I was surprised that the quality is higher than I expected and I can see that the material costs must far exceed £50.
  4. Well the usual amount of Arbtalk negativity has ensued [emoji849]. All I can say is that: I bought it I screwed it together I loaded it It’s easy It suits my needs perfectly. If you don’t have a requirement for it, there’s no advantage in slagging it off. (Unless you feel your inferiority complex will benefit from trying to degrade another mans efforts).
  5. What have you used for that? Is there a kit available?
  6. Yes that’s the mike I use and never had a problem with that. The problem has been with everything else. And I mean everything.
  7. Also when it gets a couple of scratches on it (after 3 seconds) the means that you can’t see anything at all. [emoji23][emoji23]
  8. I recently ordered one of these. The surprise is that it’s more robust and better made than I expected. Also the service from order to delivery was very good! The design is not rocket science but perfectly ingenious. I just thought it worthy of a mention. Groovy Timber™ GROOVYTIMBER.COM Groovy Timber™ sells unique outdoor wood log stores that enable you to easily and automatically access the best logs for burning in your log burner and on your open fire - every time. The Firewood Feeder™ stores wood in a unique way and seasons them so they burn more effectively, glowingly and safely.
  9. But the RRP isn’t CE rated[emoji849] and not on sale in England, or am I wrong?
  10. So by now there must be many Zigzag & Chicane users. Do you use a chest harness or neck loop or neither? Thanks.
  11. That’s interesting. I thought that the Protos comms would not work with Sena. I guess I’m wrong and that makes me think twice about buying another Sena. Having four sets and having had several bits break, I’m reluctant to buy another so maybe the Protos is a good solution. With everything internal there are no bits to break, although I can see most employees have the skills to bust the boom mike within 48 hours [emoji35].
  12. But that is true of any mechanical or a hitch. The question is: Is the Akimbo horrendous if it gets sap in it?
  13. Ah-ha, so I’d like daily updates with the weather conditions. ie: wet rope in the dry, wet rope in the wet, dry rope etc. I was about to order a zigzag & chicane..... .......and then you posted! [emoji23]
  14. Yes I think I do but only because it doesn’t get flattened. It’s made by Tuefelberger.
  15. I’ve climbed on a BDB since Gordon invented it and I’ve used non CE Cougar Blue. I’ve just replaced it with Xstatic rope and love it. No complaints at all except I need to replace a few worn BDB components.
  16. Call James at Agricon near Bolney on 07917 417298
  17. Well I have a new Xstatic rope so I’m interested to hear if anyone has used that with the Akimbo.
  18. It’s been a while since contributions were made on this thread. How are people getting on with the Akimbo and which rope is turning out to be the favourite? Also, is the Akimbo ok in doubled rope configuration or is it purely an SRT device? Thanks
  19. I have an ST6P which is only several months old, a bolt snapped leading to a bit of minor damage but no biggie. I couldn’t use the machine so had to rent one to keep working but Forst backup has been absolutely brilliant, just saying. Bravo and thank you Forst.

  20. One of my staff members is going off to University soon so I need a replacement. If you’re interested in the detail as listed in the original post and you think you’re the right type of character please call me on 07834 414271 or [email protected] Thanks Al.
  21. Good research Dan. Thanks. I seem to remember that the Stihl advertises 51 minutes run time while the Echo only 18 minutes. That would be the decider for me, if that’s correct.
  22. Also Mike, leave the fungal brackets on the tree. Don’t break them off.
  23. I’ve had two 2511 for several years and they are brilliant. The carb setting is fiddly to get just right but definitely worth doing or it runs badly. I know a few guys who’ve used 150 and 2511 and always favour the 2511.
  24. I’m interested but the proclaimed battery run time is a heck of a lot less than the Stihl equivalent [emoji51]
  25. Sorry I should have stated that most of our work is in Reigate.
