  3. Hi Guys i am looking to pick your collective brains. i need to get a better chainsaw helmet as at the moment i have a cheap and cheerful one and am going to be doing some work as a groundie. I have been looking at the stihl x vent or husqvarna technical forest helmet but are there others i should consider? What brands of ear defenders are compatible with each brand of helmet as I also want to upgrade to chipper spec earmuffs and ideally would like to add a set of those integrated safety glasses too as I always seem to get sawdust in my eyes. Any advice is greatly appreciated
  4. Hi guys I joined because I am soon to be working for a large forestry contractor in the East Midlands and have been reading for advice and guidance as my background is in agriculture not forestry but thought a change would be good. Any advice to make me a good groundy would be much appreciated! Alex
