  1. can do you a 26 ton load of green beech for £2500 delivered in artic bulker... roughly 50m3 ..dependin where you are...
  2. .... thought you were selling all that cord to me.... have you any ready to collect yet...
  3. complete load rubbish.. i tried one for all of 10 mins then never used it again... its ok if your only bdoing few wheel barrow loads at time but thats it...
  4. i could do 500 bags unseasoned wood....
  5. takes yrs and yrs for baler twine to rot down... i'm still pulling string out ground with cultivator... the straws not been baled on that field for over ten yrs and its not had any muck on it in longer...[you get string on field from loose bales etc when balein or in muck when you spread.] and the string has no sign of detirioratin anytime soon..
  6. havent a clue mate... can only do artric loads i'm afraid unless you want split hardwood... [green] can do that at trade price
  7. i can only buy in artic loads so can only sell an artic load i'm afraid... can deliver split hardwood at trade price [green] if thats of interest
  8. posch do one and its around 4 grand....!!!
  9. thats a nice truck.. nice and narrow for deliverys compared to a transit.. i did exactly same thing with my old transit, you can leave all the log orders to a sat and bash them all out in a day... i've done as many as 20 in one day... and thats not all local stuff... dunno how you load it but i had a 1.3m3 bucket made thats just bit narrower than back of truck...3 or 4 buckets tipped in each bay from the rear in less than a min also makes a big diff to delivery times... what i love is i can load up on a friday nite, one transit holds 3 loads and the other 4.... so come sat morn i can have 7 loads out sometimes in an hour depending where there going...
  10. i still have a steady supply of hasdwood cord coming for those that are interested and few load seasoned stuff for those in surrey area...
  11. i had phone call today.. customer had just had stove fitted and said to me i want apple, cherry, ash, sycamore beech and small amount of oak in a load... i was pheasant shootin at time and just said good luck with that and put phone down...
  12. 25 1.3m3 loads this week... lookin in last yrs diary we were doing double that last yr...
  13. 26 ton at £20 a ton is £520... doudt you'd get 20 ton in load so that woulda been £400 you can buy hardwood cord that'l go through a processor for £1300 a 26 ton load delivered... my lorry holds 65cubic yards which is 54m3...so you'd want £810 a load for blocks that have to be handled and put through a processor half of which is conifer... put the haulage of at least £300 on top of that and its £1100 load..... no offence but i'd stick with hardwood cord all in 3.4m lengths that'l go through processor for an extra £200... and i can buy 26 ton for not much more than your askin for 54m3.... your wood is ideal for someone who only has a splitter or only wants few ton delivered at time..
  14. look on fuelwoods website.. they got an ex demo on there 4 sale i think.. my cousin has a basic 375 and puts many 100 tons a yr through his without a prob.... he's beefed the splittin wedge up. put a handle in so splitter can be activated by hand and cut half the top guard away so can use easily as a log splitter..2
  15. its gone from £20 a ton to £15m3 thats more than double mate...
  16. dont have to load so o0ften, produces less ash and doesnt soot the flu... much same as normal wood burner i guess
  17. i dont dare mention softwood to any of my customers...if i did they'd think i mixed it in with hardwood and go else where.... learnt by my mistakes in past.. we have a guy coming round this week to look at options of putting a wood burner/boiler in one of the sheds to heat the 5 houses in our courtyard area... costs over £8000 a year in oil to heat them.. but even he says the burners run better on hardwood, but i guess if the softwood, willow, poplar that we throw away is cut into 3ft lengths and split into liftable sizes it wouldnt matter..
  18. i'll buy the lot if as discussed previously you can still load me with a teleporter... i've just not had time to come in daylight to have look... give me a figure for the lot and i'll take a chance mate.... what concerns me is we burn softwood on fire in yard or give it away...
  19. how much you got mate... what is it and where in surrey..? cheers..
  20. why dont you buy an artic bulker load of split hardwood off me..... and i'm buying one a those bagwiz things that are just out so could bag it all up and deliver on my flat step frame if thats how you sell your logs.. [in bags]
  21. hello mate... around £1500 a load...
  22. yes mate i'll deliver anywhere....
  23. yeah.... i just want the haulage from it....
  24. if all goes to plan this week i'll have 800 ton of ash and beech cut in march this yr..
