  1. not many days go buy when i don't see your trucks somewhere or other... we got the blue unimog with front mount chipper.. i very rarely drive it anymore so prob one my guys.. we were working in chesham yesterday..
  2. brand new.. there coming out tomorrow to fit it... its for my timber trailer so i'm having the display up by the crane so i can see exactly what i'm putting on..
  3. i've got them on my predator... try to change the odd one as and when they get worn rather than changing them all at once.. seems to cut better with few worn ones and few new ones...
  4. didnt realise you worked for clarks... i live in amersham... my company's chiltern tree care..
  5. i'm having one fitted on my artic timber trailer... all singing and dancing for £800.. thought that was cheap myself... accuratr to within 20 kilo's..
  6. yeah... proper timber trailer with crane on front...
  7. cant do it for £50... got 4 loads perhaps 5 sold in your area and its all £55 ton.. its £50 ton within 20 miles of my place...
  8. 25 ton it is.. might be bit more..
  9. your bit far from me to be coming to do the odd stump but we do go to your ares quite bit.. was in guilford yesterday for instance... frimley last monday and woking this week.. if jobs couple hundred quid or more then i wont let you down... have tracked predator and sc50 tracked vermeer for big big stumps...
  10. i swore to my faye that i would not watch it after that freaky 50 year old thai thing was put through and others that were 100 times better didnt get in... thought it was all a fix... now she tells me shes not in it anymore i might have have a look.. only just got in from work so missed it anyway...
  11. yeah its still standing at minute.. load i looked at other day was nearly all ash.. but they tell me its as good as 50/50 ash sycamore.. little beech to come out too..
  12. £55 a ton delivered.... ash sycamore mix.. processor friendly size
  13. a cubic metre of beech goes for 70 or 80 quid round here.. i sell 1.3 metres mixed hardwood for £80..
  14. you couldnt sell a metre of softwood for £20 round here... the chiltern's are well known for there beech woodlands.. not that theres any around here now that havent been cleared out already.. i've neen trying to talk my dad into putting some sort of boiler in to heat house with.. we have a courtyard of 2 biggish farm houses, smaller 2/3 bed barn conversion and small 1 bed single story barn conversion.. all are rented out except one he lives in obviously and all are heated on diesel.. i'm sure if we could get a boiler big enough the other houses would pay to heat his house with a profit..and burn all softwood and willow, poplar. horse chestnut that goes on the fire in yard.. not to mention the 100's of pallets that come from the industrial units we let... it is a waste your right...
  15. could do, but where do you stop.. could throw some conifer or pine in aswell.. trouble is round here my 2 or 3 biggest competitors all sell and strongly highlight the fact that they only sell ash and beech... they buy it all in in that form.. i buy lot wood in but also have many 100 loads of wood that have derived from my own treework... many customers dont get back to me vwhen i tell them its mixed hardwood and not all ash or beech..
  16. dont have a log fire at my home... several tree surgeons around here inc one who rents a yard from us gives it away to the biomass guys who come in couple times year and chip it for free and take it away... i'll drop you a 25 ton bulker load of poplar and willow once i get enough of it.. all i want is the haulage..
  17. not saying there not hardwoods... oaks a hard wood but i never mention to my customers theres oak in the load cos they dont want it.. and more so with willow and poplar... i must burn 100's tons of poplar and willow in yard.. i don't really want to be buyin it in at £50 a ton
  18. its lot more than 750 for delivern owen... £50 a ton is what i can deliver it for local to me... i'm obviously payin lot less than £50 a ton for cord... guy i bought my trailer from is in mid wales, and people we sell lot straw to in north wales say they can get hold of hardwood cord quite easily... i'll make few calls tomorrow see what i can find out.. although i bought load cord with my trailer to make it worth his while delivering it and there was lot of willow and poplar in the load.. both of which we burn on the fire in yard when we cut em down on a job, so not sure if their idea of hardwood is same as ours...
  19. hi owen..looked on map... think the mileage would kill it...would be £80 ton delivered....
  20. either people talk a lot on here and do nothing about it or they think this must be a wind up delivered in at £50 a ton... someone was asking £50 a ton roadside not many weeks ago for similar stuff and had dozens replys in minutes...!!
  21. mixture of ash, sycamore, beech and small amount oak.. delivered on 25 ton artic with crane.. £50 a ton delivered if not to far from me...pm me for quote if further afield... i'm located on j18 M25, j4 M40, or j8 M1..
  22. mine was a double cab warrior... dont think you'd go wrong with a hilux...
  23. i had an 06 plate brand new not long after they first came out.... complete load rubbish... ok as long as your gonna use it as a car probably... but after 2 yrs and 100k miles of towing stump grinders and diesel bowsers around it was scrap...
  24. its about 5 miles from me.... just spoke to him he's sold it all but he's given me a contact no for someone else in my area who's felling at the min.. i just spoke to him and seems to be a good steady supply coming over next 6 months.. anyone interested let me no... all i'm looking to do is get the haulage..
