  1. i have F8YE P on the sport [mrs name is faye paul] and P19UGH [plough??] on land cruiser... made 8 look like an A on one and 9 look like an o on other.... first one wesnt cheap but mine was only £800...
  2. hope it heals quick for you mate.... my 2 guys both had pretty bad accidents before xmas.. one had 20 stitches and 5 staples in his arm when set ladders came down on him... opened his forearm up like can beans and other 2 weeks ago cut his arm open with toppin saw.. he had 2 have 2 operations but was back to work less than week later [much to his doctors disgust i expect].. i was very suprised how quick they both healed...
  3. not sure mate.. only kept that tuck just over a yr.... have no intentions of owning another unless they put diff engine in it.... after 100k miles hard work mine was as good as scrap...
  4. my 06 plate did that when it had done 35k miles... took it to dealer as it was 6 months old and it was EGR valve
  5. lad who works for me drove mine and our fastrac and 50k tractors at 16.... was stopped several times over last 3 yrs once by vosa and twice by traffic police and never once mentioned what he should and shouldnt be drivin...
  6. hello mate... see you have same chipper as mine... you ever had any problems with buttons for feed rollers on yours.. mine havent been right since shortly after i bought it [new].. who's the best man to call to sort it out for me.. stress control has never worked either... had new computer on it while ago but made no diff...
  7. this is correct.. i bought a 90 land rover with no vat.. went to sell it to large landrover dealer and they told me cant charge vat if didnt pay it even if i'm vat registered..

  10. been coming off at 18-20%... all beech.... had plenty repeat orders so cant be that bad...
  11. just got in... delivered 7 loads since 5pm... all called today and all bar 1 repeat customers.. we been processin straight off pile for weeks... my 2 ladds are still at it now..
  12. done just over 360 loads since september 1st.... up on last year due i think to us advertising in a diff area aswell as our usual ones... looking at forecast for week its gonna be mild... not the heavy frosts week before xmas last yr that we had with mad rush on... only got 8 loads booked for this week thankfully...
  13. i charge £80 for 1.3-1.5m3... [bucket is 1.3m3 but depending how hard you push it into heap and how careful you are about level filling it can go up to 1.5m3].. does seem a builders bag of any size does get a premiumn... they sell 1.2m3 bags for £100 round here....
  14. it was belting down with snow here at 7.30 this morning till 9ish..... i was sat on top of that crane loadin wood.... not pleasant...

  17. ha... yeah your not wrong...... as soon as she said who it was yesterday i knew what was coming...... "£80 a load, that seems alot"... she says.. same as last yr and yr before i says.... which she was happy with..... i expect the husband went to pub last nite which is a stones throw away and someones given him a number...... when i asked her how much she was buyin she didnt no what to say......
  18. just had call from customer who ordered a load [1.3m3] fom me yesterday... been takin wood there on and off for prob 10 yrs... she asked how much... i said same as last yr and the yr before..... she ordered it yesterday for sat delivery and has just said can she cancel as her husband has had cheaper price from somewhere else.. i said no problem, but they have no idea how much there gettin, all they no is its a pickup load... these people live in great big house worth over 750k and they are always tryin to screw the last penny out of anything i've ever done for them... trees hedges, skips, logs... i've had enough and told her to delete my no and not ring me again.......
  19. i'll have it mate... wont be able to collect till next week though... and its on my doorstep..
  20. we dont own a towable chipper.. was sayin with a towable one and 2 trucks we'd do same job in extra day.... so to me havin all the big gear has only saved around £600... mog wont use 100lites diesel in the 2 days we're ther and fastac prob same.... so cheaper prob than runnin transits back and forth on white...[we have left both vechles on site mind]
  21. thats, what i did.. lovely straight trunks 2-3ft diameter.. did manage to get £300 +haulage per load though.. blokes gonna use it in his big wood burner at brick works near me that he uses to heat his dryin room..... i'll do haulae for ya if you end up gettin it mate...
