  1. 130 td5 not any more difficult than a 200 or 300 tdi tbh ! The only things your going to have possible issues with are the cherry picker bits getting in the way but shouldn't be to much of an issue ! Personally I'd stick with an oem duel mass and clutch and educate any drivers that habitually ride the clutch !
  2. Well it's nearly completed I wonder if they will give up using beacon hill services now they will have this site opened up soon
  3. Yup full service which is essentially a new tool is about £85 +vat
  4. I have 4 or 5 battery's as I have other tools they fit and there is always one in charge and unless you have spent similar money on an air gun there isn't much my Snap On gun won't touch day to day !
  5. I run the 18v Snap On one and there is not much that will stop it but you pay for the power and as I'm on the spanners it's an everyday tool for me ! I know people that rate the sealey 24v ones the only thing with the cheaper ones is they are physically bigger than the Snap On with less power than it !
  6. Standard issue 130 Hd oem item 👍👍👍👍
  7. Money's on a drive flange as Chris said it's quite common on Landrovers and shock horror Toyotas too !
  8. Most sheet makers worth there salt will make one up to your spec to fit the trailers !
  9. Many pass every day with them on also the post 1999 builds have lighter weight bonnets fitted yes the removal of them post 1999 is due to safety but also post 1999 bonnets are not strong enough to last with a wheel on them they will crack !
  10. Oh now that makes interesting reading ! Thanks for that always nice to see scientific evidence least you cannot argue with it ! Cheers bob
  11. That's why any factory fitted bonnet mounts had the stronger tubular one piece bonnet stay that clips on the underside when not in use then locates in hole in the scuttle when in use !
  12. Good idea like you say not at can end a puncture and full load of chip would not be a good combo !
  13. I do know I have spent my life working on driving using cursing Landrovers ! Also there is a big difference between sorted and unsorted vehicles it is all down to the set up and circumstance !
  14. On a 3500kg 130 single cab with ally chip body you can get to around 1000-1200kg load capacity
  15. Not if you keep to sensible offsets like the seller steels etc if you put a ridiculous offset on it yes ! Like anything if you go silly expect things to break but going sensible things tend to work !
  16. Be careful you might have jinxed yourself 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
  17. Just fit a wider offset wheel and adjust the lock stops be surprised how much more you can get !
  18. It's not the common rail that is the issue the emissions systems can't or won't like the increase in emissions from the addition of oil ! I use a shot of good old mineral two stroke in everything that doesn't have modern Dpf type emissions equipment be it Landrovers cars or off road and plant kit ! The result of the sulphur reduction process drugs the fuel out and removes some of the lubricity qualities of the fuel sulphur also itself used to help as a high pressure lube so the result is a less slippery fuel which can cause problems on any fuel system old or new, it's the more likely to show up in older engines that have lived on high sulphur fuels. This is why named brand fuels can be better than supermarkets as its all down to the choice of additives that are in the fuel all fuel supplies at pumps has to meet Bs and En standards but the supplier chooses what they put in there additive package the higher the fuel cost better the brand hopefully the better additive pack that has been added e.g Shell regular and V power fuels will be the same base stock fuel but the V power will have a bigger and more comprehensive additive pack ! Also all fuels supplied now can carry upto 7% bio content and this also can cause issues with older seal components failing also the bio content is a very good solvent there for it cleans the fuel system and this causes filter plugging and issues due to the muck being shifted by the bio content ! Hope this helps !
  19. The bonnets on Td5s and Tdci are lighter weigh than the earlier ones also you would need the solid bonnet stay and declare it to insurance e I bet too ! There have been cases where wheel has been punched through the windscreen and injuring the occupants sometimes quite badly ie death still wouldn't stop me putting it on bonnet but I think that may have been the reason they were removed as factory fitted
  20. You can get biocides for fuel as well as water displacer
  21. Was the drum a pre used one ? Is it the contents or reaction of old contents with the diesel ?
  22. It's not suffered from the diesel bug ? You can get biocide for it Rye Oil supply it !
  23. In my best Tim Allen voice "More Power" now where is that Binford 9900xl lol
  24. Excellent total so far well done Steve and thanks to all the guys who have donated
