fichers-think that is how you spell it ,we use it all the time just remember it mixes in the nozzle so will set in it if left for a few minutes best have all the holes clean and ready and do them all at one time and as said before holes must be clean blown out and drilled a couple of mm bigger to allow enough of the resin to come back up the side of the stud

That looks just the dogs b######s are you planning to make and sell them as would be interested in one just one thing to get them ce marked it would need to be operated by both hands but I would prefer the way you have it set up lets you pick up next bit while last one is splitting its self--would love a look at it across your way (ballykelly ) a couple of times a year

have you looked at the map kinlochleven is a long way (approx 3 1/2 hrs ) from Aberdeen I did a lot of the work there when it was converted from the old carbon storage shed for BA

think you will find if useing duals on soft ground they will fill up with mud giving no traction really only suitable for not rutting good seedbeds in arable fields

cant remember who issued my ticket all those years ago we needed it to work on fc ground have not seen it for years think it was destroyed in a caravan fire 20 odd years ago all the tickets I have now for my "other" job only last 3 or5 years (cscs)

think i;m a wee bit old to be sitting tickets nowadays did have them many years ago but let them run out so have done the courses just not got the tickets now been cutting away at trees for last 40 years and really only do firewood for my-self and the estate big house oh and the odd bit of windblow -well thinking about it now hardly ever cut down anything seem to get by on windblow-dead oak and "leftover" softwood from commercial forestry always seems to be part lorry loads left nice and easy to cut up and right at roadside! forestry here is managed bi swoac and done by contractors

oh well after looking at it for an hour yesterday finally tackled it to-day first attached 2 winches to the stem just at the root one attached to landrover winch and tirfor to copper beech (the tree with the swing on)just to make shure it did not go back suddenly ,then cut a gob out of underneath the stem near the root then came down from the top leaving a hinge exactly as you would if it was still standing with a couple of wedges in from the top -then removed all he small stuff from the bit of the crown throwing it out of the way so I had an escape road clear by now i was getting worried that if the root did go back it would be heavyer than the l/rover (and its not mine) took the winches off and cut bits off the limbs till the root started to go back very slowly until the hinge broke and root went down where it was nicely rest as they say was easy ps that wee squirrel was around all day

thanks for all the advice will try and take it onboard wind was nearly as bad again to-day so kept away from it for another day

top is just at head height can reach all round with saw but not sure which way to make cut the root will go back down but the butt wants to go opposite way any suggestions?

dont get anything less than 2.5 ton for landscaping you move/stop/start in short lenths and makes it a lot harder to keep level also short dipper a pain if landscaping it only comes half way in before you have to start dropping the main boom again not easy to keep things level far easyer to pull main boom and dipper in one movement ! I have a 2.5 cat and cant fault it starts even in coldest of winter and some times sitting for a few months ps think I might hold the record time for changeing a fuel filter on one of these --achieved when it stalled when useing as a "poker" at a brash fire!!!!:

doubt it there were never any there in the first place anyway says its brand new why take a new one over to an island with no trees just to sell it-not many people with interest able to go see it

I'd be a bit wary of the wallenstien wee chipper/shredder on fleabay at the moment (not shure how to put up a link ) guy has no feedback and its on the isle of Lewis --there are no trees on Lewis!!!!!!!!!!!

a lot depends on the type of ground you are working on mog/trailer not the best on wet sticky ground with a load behind it and remember if going up rides any distance you will probably have a lot of reversing to do not the easiest in narrow ride with stumps etc
