  1. Fairford Tree Services | Facebook Facebook URLs are odd ones, because of the coding they use sometimes the URL is twice as long as it needs to be. the one i just put up should work for you. What I've done is on my cards and adverts I put 'The Crafty Weasel- handmade gifts and crafts. Phone 01239 698 231 or search for us on Facebook'. Just tried it and by the time I typed 'Fairford' in the facebook search bar it had suggested your page.
  2. Just bought an International 674 with Bamlett rear loader. Starts, runs and drives, Hydraulics work, everything else is pretty much finished. £500. have I done OK or have I paid over the odds? Anyone got any experience of these tractors, anything to look out for on them? Cheers.
  3. Yeah, it's as high as whatever you plonk it on the shed im using at the moment is an old silage shed, so i just put a length of scaff tube across the blockwork walls and sit it on that.
  4. Yes you did see some laburnum in there, kept some off to one side for turning and things, but most of it was small diameter and splitting out in the centre.
  5. Made from an old bale elevator. Seemed to work well on its first test, going to make a plywood hopper on it now that I can just tip the logs into straight from the trailer rather than having the old man scrabbling about on the trailer kicking the logs in. 6. So I may be only 24, but my back (not to mention my saw chain) complains after a day of crosscutting logs on the floor. Spent the day building this out of scrap we had lying around. comfortably lifted and clamped a 12' long, 18" diameter length of beech, so should handle pretty much anything I throw at it.
  7. 1954 Mayfield tractor with a homemade skidding arch behind it. will drag fairly substantial trees about. the video shows it handling a small piece in third gear, in first it will handle a length 15' long, 18" dia, and it's only 4hp! 9. I'd prefer it to be a tree obsessed yet family friendly weekend. My parents who share the property would prefer it that way as well I think.
  10. Good god Rob, you'll be wanting paying next
  11. I'm sure we can find some trees for you all to perve on- Pengelli Forest NNR is about ten miles away, 160 acres of semi-ancient woodland, plus other nice specimens about the place.
  12. Been considering the possibility of some sort of weekend get together for Arbtalkers in the Spring/early Summer in North Pembrokeshire. Just putting the idea out there to see how many people would be interested. I've got an acre or so that could be used for caravans/tents. Any interest?
  13. Is the nb281a the twin cylinder model?
  14. Too late, We've got a Special Branch down here in west wales, as well as Trees Company. How about Out On A Limb? Morning Wood Tree Services?
  15. Do you reckon he uses the same picture on his internet dating profiles? Looks quite inviting the way he's offering that rope...
  16. Had a friend had some guys with a HIAB steal his mini pick up from a 'secure' lock up. Smashed the asbestos roof and lifted her out in one.
  17. makes sense really, something for the men and the women. If you had a beauty shop as well as the forestry gear, wives might pester husbands to take them there. Same thing happens in Lidls and Aldis, men head straight for the specials aisle in the centre, while the women full up the trolley with whatever food they want, with no disagreement or nagging.
  18. I was so close when I said ferret roulette arena, just had the wrong type of mammal.
