  1. A 2 m3 stacked crate like this fills 4 x 0.7ish builders bags exactly. I advertise a quarter crate as 500litres
  2. Does anyone else have a zombie plan? My plan is evolving with every zombie type film I watch... --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?dtgghf
  3. I have tinnitus already, trying very hard to not let it get any worse, I use a combination of all mentioned. For shooting I'm using a set of £30 electronic noise canceling ear defenders that cut noise over 80dbs and amplify voices etc. they don't work great with chainsaws though, not sure how they would be with a chipper.
  4. Pardon! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?d3jovd
  5. £100 - £300 less than a new machine...
  6. Last year i saw a second hand unit sell for more than a new one! The buyer must not have contacted a distributer to ask for a price new... bonkers... Since then second hand machines i have found have all retained a superb value. I would definately only buy one an Eagle new with the TCT blade.
  7. lol Im producing a cube an hour, but its huge rings im processing at the moment so its all really heavy work and time intensive cutting the discs into 6 so i can even lift them! I have a 10 tonne splitter with good hydraulics and a selection of chainsaws.
  8. It would Lee but it would be slow and no major power behind it. The diesel beaver uses no fuel and is utterly reliable but not fit for commercial log splitter use cause it's only 21lpm. Would just power my 10t splitter but it was slow. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?w0w5xw

  10. Good grief what a crock of poop! Check out this one, its a lombardini diesel which is really rare.... eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace I happen to know the reserve is only £750
  11. OK here are some pics of my hydraulic pump, motor and tank. I got allt he main bits from WELCOME TO FLOWFIT THE HOME FOR ALL YOUR HYDRAULIC REQUIREMENTS I called them and spoke to a guy called Wayne, he was pretty helpful and the quality of the kit is good. One years warrenty too which is nice. The pipes and connectors came from my local guys, who were so impressed with the kit id bought asked for the catalog and are now going to be stocking some of the stuff themselves. All in it stands me at £1200, thats including 6m of pipe. I think my IH 885XL tractor is 40lpm max, but it burns around 4 litres an hour cause it has to be at 1900rpm to get a decent flow rate. The JCB beaver i used to use was 20lpm and used about 4 litres in a day (£3) but the splitter was slow but lacked power. So i think the PSI was low with the beaver. This 13hp honda clone 'Loncin' is bloody brilliant, i am running half throttle and have a super fast 10tonne splitter that is super powerfull because the pump is a dual flow. Im burning around £6 of fuel a day.
  12. A dual pump with 72lpm is only £100 new. Its not just flow you need, pressure of 2-3000psi is also required. Ill go and take some pics now.
  13. Only got this pic, taken after first fire up! Can't really see much. I'll take some more pics tomorrow for you, can also put you in touch with the company I got all the main bits from. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?ckui11
  14. I'm running a 13hp Honda gx with a 72lpm / 3000psi dual pump and 75litre hydraulic oil tank. I currently use a 10tonne ram, so it had a very fast cycle speed and enough power to split most discs. But i know it would also comfortably power a 20tonne ram. The pump, engine, tank, fittings and pipe cost me £1200 all new. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?n34q4g
  15. I prefer the ride and seating position in a hilux. Loving the tipper back, the rear of mine is fast approaching the limits of what's possible with fiberglass and filler! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?r2i0jt
  16. Clay pigeon shooting once or twice a week. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?v5okbv
  17. Vax should give you a spot on the shopping channel! I'm sold lol
  18. Sounds like a good price to me too
  19. Oak takes ages to season, 18months ideally, birch dries in about 6 months. Oak is a better firewood, but only if you have the patience / ability to store it for 18months.
  20. Thinking about the scooter engine idea, I suppose the up and down motion of the conrod is the perfect motion for chopping. If you could utilise the chain and sprocket/possibly the gear box then you should be able to hook up an electric or honda gx motor to it. 'All' you would then have to do is sort out a frame and feeder....
  21. I have been told about a guy who had built one with the bottom end of a scooter/motor bike. He hooked up a large electric motor to the crank, attached a splitting blade to the con rod and with some welding hey presto. Sounded nice and dangerous!
  22. There is a firewood directory on the forum that allows you to search for retailers in your area.
  23. I have 7 cubic meters going out this week!3 Separate clients...
  24. New power pack is the mutts nuts, well pleased, my splitter is amazingly fast and very powerful! Its cost me £1350 all in.
