  1. Fps Russia 'fells' a tree with an automatic shotgun in a YouTube vid. He gets really really bored! Lol
  2. Cubic meter vented log bags with some plastic or tarp stapled on to stop rain getting into the bag. All other methods involve too much handling, this way the bag is filled when splitting and moved via tractor loader to store area. The bag is only moved when it's sold or used.
  3. Cheers for the heads up. I'm chancing it though ;-)
  4. Good god really?! Happy days indeed!
  5. I have since had a play with the relief valve on one of my splitters, managed to set it so the motor is understress but just up from stall. It's made a massive difference to what it will split!

  9. Look on you tube for electric log splitters. The ones I've seen have been slow and only suitable for an older person who can't wield an axe.
  10. Dont think it would...
  11. Why dont you buy a decent axe?
  12. Most of the jobs have all been splitting rotting piles of discs that the man of the house has been unable to do after telling the people doing the tree work that he would like to keep and split the discs for his own fire. On all occasions its been the lady of house who has arranged for me do the work. I get about 5 splitting jobs a year... no more than a day or half days work each one. I certainly would not be buying a splitter and thinking i could have it rented out 10 weeks of the year so it can pay for its self!
  13. Barking: Gardener fined £6,000 after neighbour snapped him perched on treetop while holding chainsaw | Mail Online Quality cover picture

  17. What year on year ton increase did you manage? Also what's your estimated client base? Cheers
  18. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/44893-what-size-engine-log-splitter-2.html
  19. I have been in touch with them, It's only running on 20lpm, ideally it needs to be a dual pump 70lpm and 3000psi. His two machines in one are pretty cool
  20. As said he is using a beaver for the demo. Not showing his wares to full potential, I have looked at his products seriously but gone down the build my own for less route.
