  1. I never touched th oil pump at all but I'll get some picture back in a mo...
  2. back again but I fear with grave error unfortunately. Stripped my 345 to give it a clean and see what condition it was inside. Carb got a clean out the gauze filter was abit blocked causing it to run not at its full potential. Got that sorted. Compression check 160psi Whilst filling up with oil I noticed it went out as quick as it went in, oil everywhere! Have I screwed one of the bolts too tight around the case somewhere to cause this spillage?? If I have is this something easily remedied or do I need new housing?
  3. Then it would do lovely
  4. Ah! ..... That's abit embarrassing lol used one of those as well, it was ok Jon but I wouldn't go for it. Summit with abit more power would do it for me personally if it was a ground saw.
  5. They do what they say on the tin but like anything if its looked after properly it'll last. I like them. Bang a hole in the exhaust, retune n bobs ur uncle (ref youtube) they seem to breathe a lot better after that. Would I buy one personally? I'd check the husky top handle out first before splashing cash
  6. We do in work jon, decent enough wee saw. AV is a lot better than 200t though the 201 isn't as robust though it all depends on circumstances. Our one is only 6months old and its had a new handle already, carb is playing up. But cba going into a 201v200 debate
  7. Something's nagging at me saying the amount of people is 5? Argh too late
  8. AFAIK No risk assessment - no insurance cover?
  9. Happy new year you tree lovers!!!
  10. Nowt wrong with Youtube and a set of Dumbells
  11. One recipe that I've always enjoyed with crusty roll is the follow: 4 decent sized spuds 2 sweet potato 2 white onions 1 red onion Put it all in a pot and add two 3/4 pint jugs of hot water each with veggie stock cubes (2 in total dissolved) and then fill the rest of the pot with hot water until its below the level of the veggies. Boil for 30mins then blend Depending on how you like the thickness of your soup this way makes it quite thick ( add a little more water before blending if you prefer it thinner but its easy to go overboard so use caution). Add seasoning if you prefer, abit of salt and curry powder does it for me
  12. Over here in Northern Ireland the majority of all tree firms have utility contracts as their main line of work and work private jobs around that. It does generate a stable workload. Maybe expand your business? Take on a climber full time and apply for utility tenders? Your MEWP would certainly come in handy and quicken things up regarding electrical work.
  13. Hi Rich, it's a ms200t. The site I mentioned is this STIHL MS200 / MS200T ZAMA CARBURETTOR REPAIR 020 / 020T CARB CARBURATEUR | eBay
  14. Hi Tuttle the caustic soda was only left for a few mins each time and applied where necessary on the cylinder, worked a treat And it was thoroughly washed with water during and after. @Rich: I plan on getting the carb sent away across eBay they refurb them for 25 sheets, is this worth doing? Or do I have to shell out 80 nooper on a new one? @Spud: Quite a vast range of things it could be , time for some new tools  Could you elaborate on the throttle valve please? I'll start with the carb and work my way from there, thanks guys.
  15. Got the cylinder cleaned and all nice and smooth that was in my previous pic post. Fired it all together and let it run erratically (the carb is banjaxed, I just wanted it to warm up to get a reading) for a good couple of mins. It ran on like there was an air leak. I'm pretty confident that the cylinder and piston end of the saw is decent. A compression reading came up at 135psi forgive me for my lack of experience but I take it there's only the crank gasket and seals left to check? All hoses seem ok though I do have a cracked tank breather that leaks petrol but surely this wouldn't be an issue? I don't have equipment to do vacuum or leak down test.........YET
  16. First two times using my subatomic I cut myself twice, who knew blood was so red!

  20. Nowt good to say? Say nowt!
  21. Hi spud, it is the photo that makes it lookalike a chip but its nice and smooth now. That wee black line I couldn't feel with my fingertip but could catch it ever so slightly with the finger nail. Abit more 1200 grit sorted it out and now it's nice and smooth would I be right in saying that transfer can occur above the port as well as below?
  22. Hey so i decided to give a spare cylinder i had lying around abit of a clean up for practise. i used caustic soda. Mainly what im asking is... can the cylinder be used? I was cleaning around the exhaust port and it feela smooth but if you look carefully there are a small group of black lines. has this scored through the nikasil?
  23. Lovely and clean
  24. Don't forget Rich2484
  25. Gorgeous, excellent work
