Just while on the topic spudulike. will the 200 cylinders fit the old 020s and vice versa?
  5. Thanks for the replies, all ears are open! i forgot to mention something. if the unfortunate event of redundancy comes about, would i still receive redunancy legally without a contract?
  6. Ive been working for nearly 2 years in the tree industry and have yet to see a contract after requesting one. Anyone had this situation? Any beneficial reasons or rights by doing so?
  7. Im just hitting this a stab in the dark but would it sound about right? The employer has a high sided lorry and the chipper is broke Tree to be dismantled to the ground. Living reasonably locally to job. Full day Lorry - Already owned Chipper (did this as renting the chipper for the day) £120 1 Climber @ £9 p/hour coming in at £81 2 Groundsmen @ Minimum wage around £108 Petrol + Mix - £8.00 Ive heard of tree surgery companies charging £25-30 per man for one hour. So for 3 men you're going to charge £810 plus your running costs at £317 so final price is £1127 cash in hand (though £1352 with VAT) If i have this wrong i do apologise, i dont own a business
  8. Excellent job! Turned it into a tree to admire.
  9. All parts were sourced for next to nothing bar the £25 for the piston kit, its just abit of fun really. Thanks for the tip though, i dont know the reason for the piston blowing but i guess theres only one way to find out
  10. Ive no idea how old the saw is but its got both push and twist fuel caps on it the piston was scored up the side but the barrel was ok
  11. Hey all, im just after replacing the piston in my ms200 for the first time as a kind of learning curve. Ive yet to put the carb back on etc but was wondering if I hold the saw by the pull cord and the saw does not lower does that mean that there is good compression on it???
  12. Hey thanks for the redirect breffni im going to look into it. I'm only 30mins away from Antrim so travelling is no problem! I just thought it would be kinda cool to try different setups, pick up a few tips, try different gear etc and just have a bit of craic
  13. Hey all This probably isn't the first idea that someone has had but I couldn't help get round to wondering if there are any tree climbing "clubs" as such in Northern Ireland/ South of Ireland? Or if any group of people visit around specific forest parks to climb for a few hours. Obviously it wouldn't be that popular around this time of year but Summer does come again...
