  4. Merry christmas. Elf Yourself
  5. :thumbup::thumbup:And quite rightly too.
  6. Totally fair comment.
  7. Sorry, I should have explained, but these articles really hack me off. I am more than willing to accept the number of lambs brought back to the nest, but, and it's a big but, in the context of the article, where those lambs hunted' or scavenged? Has infant mortality been raised amongst sheep in the areas where Sea Eagles are nesting? Perhaps the two most pertinent questions, however, are who paid for the study and how much compensation is being paid to local sheep farmers for losses to Sea Eagles. I know there is a compensation scheme in place and find it hard to believe that this does not impact on reported losses. This is (as reported) just plain bad science.
  8. Meaningless article, meaningless research.
  9. Sorry, and I know I'm going to get myself in trouble (again), but do you really think that any magazine that's so biased towards hunting and protecting the rights of large landowners is going to give you any information that you reliably use to form an opinion. For those of you on the other side of the argument, the same can be said for publications from wildlife trusts etc.
  10. Sorry, but you can see where I was coming from. If this is just something that you have no involvement with, but are aware of, I would suggest you contact HSE with your concerns. Also check out DEFRA's Magic Maps or the Forestry Commissions web site where you can check for current felling licences.
  11. The more I think about it, the more I think the OP may be on a wind up. Few too many christmas sherries?
  12. No! absolutely not.
  13. Cheers Graham, I've calmed down a bit now, but I mean really..................... Sorry, sorry, sorry. Deep breaths, calm thoughts. deep breaths, calm thoughts. Ok, I'm good again.
  14. It is in most cases a lifestyle choice not a disability. I do feel angry when I see a family of weebles walking through the supermarket, filling their trolley with processed crap, but what makes me really angry is seeing those poor fat kids who are being fed this rubbish by parents who can't be bothered to peel vegetables, but would rather turn the deep fat fryer on or stick something in the microwave. Often, they can't even wait to get home, but sit in the car park filling their faces with crisps or ready cooked chicken, or whatever comes out of the carrier bag first. Sorry, I'm normally quite liberal.
  15. Agreed Jon, but he's not buying to win comps and you can work a hydraulic winch all day every day. Duty cycles on leccy ones just don't compare.
  16. For 30k, get a nice RED hydraulic winch. Leccy ones are crap.
  17. Mines exactly the same. He'll only get in the back if we're going shooting and if a person gets in on a work day he sits on top of the cubby box looking miserable.
  18. Makes for a great summer sock as well.
  19. Think you're missing the more important parts of his spec here chaps. MIDDLE SEAT FOR THE DOG All you need really.
  20. Another who wears them year round. Love Merino, but my latest fad (and I do do fads) is bamboo fibres. Think they may be the best light base layer I've ever worn. I do also like the HH baselayers. Just got one of these and it's great. Polaris Bamboo Tec Tee | Chain Reaction Cycles Also have some of these, lighter, but tighter. Highlander mens black bamboo 180 long sleeved thermal natural fibre top small | BuySend
  21. A lot to be said for the old system of making someone "outlaw".
  22. Been close once or twice, but they are on a frame. It's just when I forget to raise the frame when I go in.
  23. In all fairness to the inventor, it's a Finnish invention, and I don't imagine that they have to deal with a great deal of knotty wood over there. Bloody expensive though.
  24. I know I've said it before, but I still keep a large selection of large fishing treble hooks hanging from the ceiling of my workshop (to dry out after a fishing trip). They seem to dry best at face height and have given me positive results in the past and are almost impossible to spot in the dark.
  25. Always like to give people the benefit of the doubt. So I've just messaged him. Sorry mate, but I think you've been had. The saw you are advertising is a MT9999 52cc saw, a Chinese knock off of a stihl. They are notoriously dangerous, the chain breaks don't work. I would suggest you remove and destroy it. In any event I will report it to Ebay. Sorry. See what happens.
