  1. They do this one now as well. sends pictures to your mobile. http://www.perdixwildlifesupplies.co.uk/product/reconyx-sc950-hyperfire-mobile/
  2. Reconyx are really good and the top end ones feature an invisible illuminator unlike most which are visible. I think that their security range will also capture registration plates, which again most can't. I bought 10 a few years back and they've never let me down. plus you can leave them out for months at a time, I've had them capture 4000+ images and still have 40% battery left. Not cheap mind, but you pay for what you get.

    Birch water

If I'm cutting Birch in the spring I always cut one that I'm going to fell later, put a cup under the cut and enjoy the best drink ever when it's full. Love the stuff.
  4. Quicker than any ferret, shame you can't tame them.
  5. They do indeed. I remember working one of mine a few years back, under shotguns in an old railway embankment. I was amazed at how many rabbits she was putting up and the fact that they were coming up from opposite ends of the warren within seconds of each other. I thought I must have the best little jill ever. After a while a stoat popped out of one of the holes and wandered off up the embankment.
  6. OK, my kids just read that. My own fault I know, but, well, how do explain that to them? I can feel a very rough night coming, I've always managed to shelter them from the horror that is the POT NOODLE.
  7. Please understand that this is anecdotal and I'm not sure any research has been done. You might be better served by seeing if there is any evidence of this happening on an intra-species level. Otters and Mink are closely related so it may be a behaviour that has been observed in Otters before.
  8. Can't quite decide if you found it interesting, or you are dismissing it. The joys of the lack of nuance on internet forums.
  9. Might let her abuse me a bit first though.
  10. If she does I'll blend her frog. That's how we roll in NORFOLK. YEAH BOY!
  11. Nice to see a familiar getting whats coming.
  12. Very nice, but clearly a witch. Burn her!
  13. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to refer you to the Lotka-Volterra equations here. Yes we have enjoyed high levels of fish stocks in many waters (mostly due to stocking), but they are not natural. A predated system is typically a more healthy one and to be honest, industry has done far more damage to our water systems than Otters ever will. A healthy system will find a balance and always does, it's when we start finding predation getting in the way (usually of our country sports) that things get messed up As an interesting side note. I once saw a fight between a Dog Otter and a Dog Mink on Bure Marsh. Needless to say the Otter won. The amazing thing was that he didn't kill the Mink, he just pinned him down and bit off his testicles. Never seen anything like it. Oh, and I hunt, shoot and fish so don't go getting any ideas about me being some kind of Anti. The comment about Greys having no natural predators in this country is interesting. I sometimes go out with my Ferrets with some guys locally who hunt with birds of prey, they absolutely **** themselves if one of their birds gets onto a grey, the little buggers will bite off toes no problem. the only exception seems to be the guys with Red-Tailed Hawks, which are a North American bird and therefore have evolved to hunt Greys and don't seem to have a problem with losing toes as they have their technique down pat.
  14. You've got a 47! I've never met you, but envy makes me hate you. Do you go to dog on a ute days?
  15. And did you see his spatula of spite. Still gives me nightmares. I've also heard a nasty rumour he's got a sponsorship deal for a wizardly magimix range.
  16. He's right, you are in for a steep one, but don't believe everything you read on the internet. Elm is one of the commonest trees in the woods round me and is still quite common nationally. None of them ever get to any size before the beetle moves in though and they are all suckers.
  17. Thanks Graham, but in the spirit of the season, I'd like it if you would donate the prize straight to the Victims of Wizards Benevolent Fund. After all their need is greater than mine. Not only that, but I strongly disapprove of tortoise parcel delivery. They're forcing hardworking British pigeons out of business. Now someone get me a common sense fag and a pint.
  18. PEANUT BUTTER! They can't resist it.
  19. Cheers. Can't think why I started thanking my mum though, she knows naff all about the subject.
  20. Fantastic, FREE CHARCOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy. I'd just like to thank all the people who supported me through this and of course, my mother, without whom i'd never have been able............ Sorry, got over excited there.
  21. Hmmm. I'm going to open the bidding with Sanicle.

It might help if you list tickets, experience, etc.
  23. Nice to see the Orchids, Can't quite tell from the pics, but Early Purples?
  24. What powers does an ecologist have then? I've been doing ecological consultancy work for years and never realised I had the ability to impose restrictions on anyone. An ecolologist is just like any other person you employ to do a job, he comes, he does the job and he goes away. He can only advise, not dictate.
