  1. So just cooking dinner with my Daughter (8) and listening to the radio (R6M) and Sound of the Suburbs (The Members) came on. Now I'm 48 and haven't done any pogoing for decades, but that took me right back. The look on her face was priceless. Sorry if I've lost some of you younger ones there.
  2. That really is ob................. Well, all I can say is that I hope the Mods step in and delete this post. THE PUBLIC CAN READ THIS.
  3. I used to have a swb shogun. The worst days work I ever did was selling it. Do find myself having a bit of a hankering for a Nissan Pathfinder for family/occasional work use though. Having said that, I will always own a Defender.
  4. You're not near the Wildwood trust are you?
  5. One I saw in France.
  6. So I reported it to Ebay, because the seller refused to communicate through Ebay, and almost immediately got this from them. Particularly like the last three words. Oh and they removed the listing. Dear uberbowman, We think eBay account sandjunsworth has been used without the account owner's permission, so we're now restoring it to them. To protect this member's privacy, we can't share any more details about their account. People sometimes misuse eBay accounts by sending emails from them. In these emails, they invite you to buy or sell outside eBay, or ask questions that have nothing to do with eBay. They do this in the hope that you'll respond and give them your email address. We strongly recommend you treat emails from this member with caution and don't respond if you hear from them again. If you wish to chat to one of our customer service agents through the Live Chat function please follow the below link. http://contact.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ContactUsNextGen&Format=1&pid=863 ***Safety Tips*** - Don't respond to the sender, through either eBay or your email provider, if the message is an offer to buy or sell an item. This type of offer is against eBay policy, may be fraudulent, and the transaction won't be covered by eBay protection programs. - If you received what appears to be a Second Chance Offer for an item you recently bid on, and it appears in My Messages with the subject of "Message from eBay Member," it isn't a legitimate Second Chance Offer. Real Second Chance Offers appear in My Messages with a blue background and subject stating, "eBay Second Chance Offer for Item...". Always check for both the blue background in My Messages and the subject line of "eBay Second Chance Offer for Item…" when responding to a Second Chance Offer. - Never pay for your eBay items using instant cash wire transfer services such as Western Union or MoneyGram. It is against eBay's Safe Payments Policy for a seller to request payment with these methods, as these types of payments are unsafe if you're paying someone you don't know. ***If you've Already Sent Payment or Posted an Item*** - If you already sent payment for an off-eBay transaction, or if you're a seller who already posted an item to a fraudulent buyer, we suggest you take the following steps: - Contact the payment service you used to make the purchase. If you paid by credit card, most card issuers provide consumer protections in instances of online fraud. - If you sold and posted an item to a fraudulent buyer, contact the carrier you used to post the item. You might be able to receive additional assistance from the delivery service. - Report the fraudulent buyer or seller both to law enforcement officials in your area, and in the area where the buyer or seller lives. When you contact a law enforcement officer, please explain the following: - eBay will be happy to help with the officer's investigation. - For more information on how the officer can contact eBay, go to: eBay UK - eBay Safety Centre: Law Enforcement Keeping eBay a safe and reputable place to buy and sell is our top priority. To find out more about buying safely on eBay, open a new window on your browser and copy these links into it: eBay: Redirect eBay UK - eBay Safety Centre: Buying with confidence If you've sent payment for an item but not received it, please let us know. You can contact us from any eBay Help page. As always, if you have any questions, please get in touch. Regards, eBay Trust & Safety
  7. Exactly the same response.
  8. I've sent this back to him. I would just like the serial number please. I am familiar with the model and so do not need photos or info, just the serial number. Cheers.

  10. Thought the 576xp was the replacement for the 372xp.
  11. Yeah, but Advantage only works on ticks for "up to" a month. This stuff claims 3. As I said early days.

How do you think VHD got here?
  13. Looks nice, but expensive. Couldn't you modify a Dummy launcher to do the same job for a fraction of the cost?
  14. I've just started using Bravecto on mine. He often comes to work with me and that means living (literally) in the woods for weeks at a time. Fleas have never been much of a problem, but ticks often are. This means having to treat him monthly with the Spot-on type flea treatments. Bravecto is a pill and claims to be effective for 3 months against fleas and ticks. Not cheap at around £40 a pop, but then niether is treating every month and you get a loyalty card. If you buy 3 pills, you get the 4th free. Early days yet, but I haven't found a tick on him yet. I'll see how it goes longer term and let you know.
  15. True, true, but what else can you expect. 95 % of people who make their living with saw use either Huskies or Stihls, You can't blame them for that, that is what we are offered, the dealerships and support simply aren't out there for other manufacturers and if you rely on your saw, you also rely on your local dealer. That simply doesn't exist for any of the smaller guys, and that is a shame. Some of us would love to be able to go into our local dealership and pick up a Dolmar as easily as we can get a Huskie or Stihl, but the fact is, we can't and we can't get the parts or service/repair support either. When/if that changes, I strongly suspect that the fortunes of Dolmar in the UK will change too. I know you are Passionate about them, but many of the rest of us aren't. This isn't because we have no faith in the product though (I suspect that at least 20% on here wouldn't mind having one, which is a good share of the market). It is simply because you can't find any of the support locally.
  16. TCD Don't get me wrong. I can only recommend what I know, and I know huskies. I was gutted to miss out on an old Sachs Dolmar a couple of weeks ago, and one of my favourite ever saws was an old Homelite. I'm not wedded to my Huskies, but I do find they deliver and they deliver well. Personally, I may well be in touch one day. Dolmar please, how much? They do seem to be bullet-proof and what Pro-user doesn't love that?
  17. Got to say, 550 all the way, but you wiil need a bigger second saw. Walking round all day with a saw though, the lighter, the better and the 550 is as light and as powerful as you will need for 95% of the time. Just make sure you have a 372 for the rest.
  18. Any news on this?
  19. Thats a big yard you have there.

I think it started in Asia, but as it has spread into Europe, the Iberian peninsula has been worst affected.

Could be viral haemorrhagic disease. A bit like a Rabbit version of Ebola. Horrible, I think it's becoming increasingly common.

  23. I know what you mean. I find it very rare these days to find musicians who arouse real emotion in me, but players like this can.
  24. Both my girls take music lessons. I used these guys to show them that playing an instrument can be cool and fun. This guy is their absolute favourite. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPYGeELPpno]Downtown Spokane Street Musician Bryson Andres - YouTube[/ame]
