  1. Take a set of dry clothes as well. It really is as easy to get caught out on foot as it is in a machine.
  2. No political statements intended. can't think of a government in recent history which hasn't eroded our fighting forces, and then asked them to do more. The men (and women) who sign up to today's armed forces are bloody amazing.

    Dolmar

Never tried or even seen the Echo brushcutters, but I do have one of their long reach saws. probably gets used once every 6 months, and starts every time ( if i'm honest, with minimal maintenance). Just can't knock it.
  4. Welcome home to you all. Just hope that you see a day when your government starts to give you the support and equipment you need. The end of lying to us about the reasons for sacrificing your lives would be nice too.

    Dolmar

Why would you ask that question on a Dolmar thread?

    Dolmar

Husky man myself, but I've never found the need to slag off other peoples saw choices. If it works for you, that's all that counts. Every marque in the world has it's fans I believe that there is even an Allegro owners club. We have always known they were rubbish, but for some people they are the greatest. Who are we to tell them they are wrong?
  7. Sorry, can't ever consider chaps. They're probably fine, but I can't get the Blue Oyster Bar out of my head every time I think of them.
  8. Just lost my lunch. Mend quick.

    Lyme disease

This is the bit the little sods stick you with. Savage!

    Lyme disease

Plenty there and at Aylesbere. Worst place for them this year has been on the Undercliffs between Seaton and Lyme Regis. The dog and I seem to have picked them up every day there.

    tattoos

Having worked as a Tattooist for 12 years myself, I feel qualified to say "this is the best advice you will ever get on this thread". Always quite fancied a tattoo of The Green Man myself. http://magickalgraphics.com/Graphics/Occult/Greenman/greenman10.jpg
  12. So something only has a value if you can see it then?
  13. Sorry, a better question would be to ask for the reason for the SSSI designation on this site.
  14. Is it SNAW?
  15. Can feel this thread getting closed soon. Much as I feel a great deal of sympathy with the OP, what is it that any of us can expect from this forum. It's just not their job. Like I said, just warn who you can, and move on.
  16. Not their job though really. They are here to police the forum. Not the industry.
  17. It's a public forum, anyone can join. Like the rest of society you will have to take the rough with the smooth, but you should be allowed to warn the rest of us IMO. Perhaps a PM to everyone (must be a way to do this) would not break forum rules, but if I'm honest I never have read them. Just always taken them as common sense. Damn, sounding like a UKIP member now. Can't really see what the Mods can do for you though. If he's local, just warn everyone you know in the area and take the hit. We all have to do it from time to time. Never forget that Karma catches us all eventually.
  18. Can you expand on this?
  19. No, No, No! When Joseph Mendel first conducted his research. It was purely observational and no other motive than improving the lot of man. Monsanto/Bayer etc are only interested in owning world farming. there is no suggestion in improving anything other than profit in their long term view. Take a look at "Golden rice" studies have shown that whilst it is rich in vitamin A. Those who would most benefit from it are so vitamin deficient, that they cannot actually process the vitamins that are contained in it. Do some Google search's. The multinationals have refused to accept this and continue to push their product. The multi nationals are also trying to patent all of the wild strains of many different crops. When they are gone, we are completely exposed to the smallest of environmental changes. Just look at the case of Deep Water Rice. Monsanto bought out the Chinese DWR farms and converted them to GMO strains, They are more productive, but have no tolerance for flood events, but they make money, but they are vulnerable, but..........................
  20. As regards the last age. I do know ecologists who would argue that the Brown Hare is non native, but the Blue is.
  21. Don't care if he's right or wrong, I bloody love Ted Green.
  22. Are you buying or selling?
  23. And so much safer.
