  1. Get thee behind me...........
  2. Can't believe my luck. Just had a call from Doe's. They've opened her up and there is no damage at all. New gasket, new plug and she's good to go. Couldn't help buying a 550 though.
  3. Damn! I was starting to see some potential for an Arbtalk clan.
  4. I should, perhaps, have put an old school/new school option in.
  5. Mine spends £50 on her hair cut (she has it shaved, but with scissors). The worst of it is that we live in Norfolk. Any guesses on where her hairdressers is. Oxford.
  6. Was playing COD a lot. Just got BF4 and I do prefer it, much bigger maps, less camping.
  7. Ghosts?
  8. Favourite video game of all time? Just wondered.
  9. Sorry boys, in fairness Ernest Doe's have offered me one for £555 inc. So I will go with them.
  10. Probably not worth it then.
  11. Says on the listing that there are no import charges.

    Loppers

My mate just got a pair of Sthil ones, I'm very impressed with them.
  14. Just got back from a stint working down in Devon. Whilst cutting Holly on Dartmoor (Some of the biggest I've ever seen, had to get the 372 out for one) My 346 suddenly made a horrible rattling noise and stopped. An examination showed that the ground electrode on the spark plug had snapped off. Never come across this before, have any of you? I'm thinking that a bearing went and allowed the piston to hit the plug. Going to have to get a 550xp now, as even if the saw can be repaired it won't be ready in time for my next contract in Berkshire. Gutted I love 346's and won't find another one now (not new anyway).
  15. Might be worth looking at Logosol mills. Their Big Mill system is modular, so you could start with the LSG (similar to Alaskan) and then add rails etc. as you need/want them.
  16. Loving that one, you can even see his mobile palace in the pics, saw an identical one at a farm auction a few weeks ago.
  17. Quick question. What are all these predators living on? The GWCT are as biased as the RSPB. If you want impartial properly scientific information use the BCT.
  18. It was a comparative statement not an absolute one.
  19. Compared with modern farming techniques, cats have naff all effect on song bird numbers. they get a lot of bad press because unlike farming, you can see a cat kill a bird. Not a huge fan of them though.
  20. Could be, I'll put a new battery in the fob.
  21. Nope, even after charging the battery it wouldn't start. Went back a few hours later and it did. I'm thinking there's a fault there somewhere, it's just having a rest before raising it's ugly head again.
  22. Well that was weird. Went and had a few (to many) shandies last night and thought I would just try turning it over when I got home. Started first turn. Now leaves me with the worry of going away to work for a month with an unknown and intermittent fault. Cheers for all the replies though.
  23. Battery is on charge now. see how it goes after that. I may be back for more pearls later.
  24. No tested the battery, it's fine.
  25. I've been away on my hols for 3 weeks and have just got back. I went to pull my landy round to the driveway so that I could start loading it up for my next working trip down to Devon, but the bugger won't start. I get a clicking noise from the soleniod as if it is a flat battery, so I checked the charge, all fine. I've tried the usual, rocking it in gear, hitting the starter, nothing. I've now noticed that one of the relays under the drivers seat is buzzing when I turn the ignition on and sometimes for a few seconds after I switch it off. Any ideas? Anyone? Please!
