  1. Cheers boys. My own feeling is that it was unrecoverable the moment it left the barn, regardless of what security you have installed.
  2. John Deere Gator stolen from South Creake in North Norfolk. 4wd, enclosed cab, stolen from locked barn.
  3. Can't really see what useful info they'd get from any of the posts on this thread. Unless they were local to Lewes and had an order for a mattock, then they would have the location of one pinpointed to one of 2000 trucks parked on driveways somewhere near Lewes. Useful stuff.
  4. used to drink in the Lands end. I've laughed at a few idiots who thought they could make it over the years (including my dad once).
  5. Signed, and shared on facebook.
  6. If you're going to use a firearm, use it to shoot out their tyres, and then call the cops. Done it with illegal Hare coursers before and no problems with the local constabulary over it and they all got nicked.
  7. Stated government policy on Ancient Woodland, is that it should be preserved from damage/development unless "in the public interest". Never quite worked out who the public is in these cases, as most development that occurs "in the public interest" seems to be massively opposed by said public. Perhaps you only qualify as a member of the "public" if you make a large donation to the right election campaign. Just saying. Could be completely wrong. They might have our best interests at heart. Or they could be a bunch of bribe taking, back scratching, self obsessed, self important, bastards. I haven't quite decided yet.
  8. Just because the portion of the tree that is on the site is below ground does not ...................you get the point of my argument. It is an issue that has annoyed me for ages and one I believe should be addressed in the legislation.
  9. Surely this tree was on the development site, and should have been included in the survey.
  10. Mine doesn't know what the upstairs in my house looks like. He does know what'll happen if I catch him on the furniture though.
  11. COD: Ghosts. Couple of Sugi Hara bars.
  12. No complaints with my X-torq
  13. Nope, but I think this one works in Scotland.
  14. "Tis that fella. Keeps you fit, but sooner or later, it knackers you. Congrats on the ad work though. If she's getting in the mood, it always improves my chances for the night, so cheers for that. Trouble is, I'll probably be asleep before she's finished brushing her teeth. Oh crap, I really am middle aged.
  15. Sorry, what she is now telling me, is that she wants your phone numbers. She's used to me and the guys I work with and apparently........... you are too good looking to really work with saws. I have tried to explain that we are all middle aged and have had hard lives, but................
  16. Well all I can say is that my missus insists that both of you are complete frauds and have clearly never handled a saw in anger in your lives.
  17. Or you can look on DEFRA's Magic maps online. Possibly one of my favourite online resources and one I would urge you all to check out as it contains information about just about every land designation and agreement, all on a handy, easy to use interactive map.
  18. I'd sooner take the Pocket Boy myself. It's just a really handy little saw.
  19. Once, years ago. I used to "dry" fishing trebles in my garage, I kept a lot of tools and my Z650 in there. I woke up one morning to find the pedestrian door on the side of the garage open and walked down the garden preparing for the worst. When I got in the door, whilst my tools and bike where still there, the thieving gits had stolen several of my precious trebles. GUTTED!
  20. That was my idea that was. I dry a lot of hooks me.
  21. That'll be in the camp by the A47 flyover then.
  22. Very true. I've got a Big mill. Build quality is good and it's easy to set up. I've got 3 rails giving a potential 25' slab and it can be used in different configurations, for different jobs. It has 90 degree stops so the whole thing can be rotated in seconds. You do pay for it though, I think mine cost about £1,700.
  23. Can anyone supply seasoned Oak for this list? 1300x100x56 10 of 1350x170x70 10 of 1150x100x56 8 of 1600x100x56 10 of 2100x100x56 2 of 1150x100x56 4 of 600x56x56 8 of 1200x56x56 6 of 600x70x56 8 of 1200x70x56 6 of 1100x56x56 8 of 1500x56x56 10 of 2000x56x56 2 of 1200x16x15 34 of 1500x16x15 10 of 2000x16x15 4 of All are finished sizes, so if sawn will need to be slightly larger. I am under some time pressure here, so will need asap. If anyone can give a price inc. VAT + Delivery to North Norfolk, I would be grateful. Cheers, Bren.
  24. Good call. With a but, If your bar is wearing whilst you are using it, you are creating swarf and the grease will trap it. Having said that, I have been very careful about dressing my bars for years now, and this is the first time this has happened to me.
  25. Hmm, seems that I may have been wasting my time removing swarf with a toothbrush then. I guess you never get it all.
