  1. FC wouldn't come out to my woods to discuss my application. They said they used Google Earth. I'm less than a mile from their office.
  2. Many thanks. Been at it in the workshop and it looks like oil has got into clutch area. With saw assembled and running oil comes out of top of chain Brake/clutch cover. It looks like it then spread back over clutch. Bar oiling hole clear and plate clean and straight. All I can think is it's the small black rubber seal (red arrow) that's allowing oil back and past to yellow arrow area. Chain looks like it's lacked oil and certainly looks oil contaminated on brake area. Am using Stihl chain oil which is lighter and thinner than three husky stuff I used to use.
  3. I was thinking along those lines. He'll have those in stock. The saw's earning again Thursday. I don't do enough to justify running 2 saws for times like this.
  4. Saw just off the boil yesterday. Changed fuel, no help. Just not holding revs as high as it did and a bit of burble to it. My local guy has a back log so any tips to check first?
  5. And a weather warning for snow again.
  6. What a dodgy lot we are. Condemning a house to a poor connection that will get damp, crackly and give terrible broadband just so we can hide our mistakes. Where's the honesty in our profession?
  7. I do this as a favour to neighbouring farmers. I process on site with my own tractor. They get one bulk bag in 10 of logs. That's roughly 2 bags per tree. The other 18 I take and sell and they still owe me a favour!
  8. After a few it's nuuuuuuun
  9. Keep a cadence and chance gear to keep it the same. I like Nuun in one bottle for the salts. Helps me on cramping.
  10. I've red, sika and roe on my ground. Saw a good 8 point buck yesterday in pretty poor shape. Think this years the right one to take him.
  11. Blimey suddenly a rushed weekend? I know weather saying cold snap but I didn't expect this. Better get wheels back on tractor!!
  12. What are you lot bleating on about?
  13. So the oils doing its job absorbing carbon rather than it being deposited in the engine? I've heard it argued all ways but agree manufacturers are not quick to admit errors either.
  14. I'm wary of changing oil spec. Surely manufacturers have done the leg work before stating 5w30?
  15. Nah. We're just fighting to make sure we can earn enough to give those that can't what we have.
  16. You're just getting started down there!
  17. Didn't ask that well did I! So there were symptoms caused by the injector that caused you to go in rather than running fine but with an injector like that. As a trafic driver I know the struggle getting them out can be...... Seems one of yours self lubricating!!!
  18. And I've 3 out tomorrow. We've night time frosts at moment though.
  19. That's good work. In response to symptoms or purely preventative?
  20. Aye but the new rubber's soft so it'll slliiiiiiddddddeeee on easy....unlike the old rubber which was stuck on with rust! Just had to flick some Aldi white metal paint onto rims.
  21. Tractor TLC
  22. No worries PeakOakFrames, think we're in agreement.
  23. I'll always pull into a passing place or lay by to allow traffic to pass but I won't just stop roadside. Bikes will always be slower and if I was required to always stop and allow traffic to pass I'd never get anywhere! The code is a code and I'm not sure there is an offence for not following the code.
  24. That's the free market fairy tale.
