  8. I left school at 16 and am now in my 20th year of being self employed, Ive done the long hours week in week out, I used to be proud of doing 100 hours a week aswell as always punching above my weight but Im paying for it now. Worry has become my worst enermy and for the last few months I've been feeling ruff to the point now where I have had a heart monitor fitted for the last 24 hours to try and work out why I get chest pains and a random heart beats, and all at 36 do the sums and work out wheather your health is worth the extra days wage.

  15. I have been there many times and find Im cold calm and collected. been at my Dads side when his heart stopped and helped the doctors while they sedated my daughter to put her on a ventilator to name just a couple and tbh I would have done things just the way you did, also now things have returned to normal your doing the exact same thing as I do and working out if you did the right thing so next time and there will be a next time your you'll have experience and confidence to plough on through.

  20. I recon we should all ditch chippers, as far as I can see the only people to benefit from doing jobs quicker is the customer . I felled 2 small conifers and ground the stumps out for a local gardener, he insisted on removing all the brush on the back of his small pickup, I could have been done and dusted in a morning but because of the ammount of journeys he had to make to the tip site it took him 3 days, the price I would have given was £200 in total but he charged £600 and the customers felt they had got their moneys worth. Were all doing ourselves out of work:001_rolleyes:
  21. I found a possible fault with the design, the oil and petrol fillers are so close I recon they should only be opened and topped up one at a time, my reason for this is that over time even small ammounts of chain oil could contaminate the fuel. Apart from that small detail I love my to bits and dont know how I managed with out it .
  22. I've worked with a few she surgeons over the years and I rate them on a par with the he surgeons
  23. I doubt Spruce pirate will make the same mistake again but it should prick the ears of other members that think their saw will be safe in a car if they through an old jacket over them. I dont wish to rub salt but we all need to make it harder for tools to be stolen or were just adding fuel to the fire.
  24. Tbh if you leave saws over night in a landrover what do you expect ? not looking for a verbal punch up but its a theft just waiting to happen.
