  1. There's a guy down in Wales advertising on ebay that will build a machine to your spec for that sort of money.
  2. Pathetic it is how many of those key board warriors could find there way out of the street let alone to media city
  3. Yep still working through those
  4. Most importantly what's your budget
  5. It sure is a beast.
  6. On big landscaping jobs I ask for the cost of materials before job commences and usually around 30% of the labour costs at the end of the first week. With tree work it's usually 1 or 2 day jobs so we don't ask for deposit if it was any longer I would want a deposit. Payment terms are on our quotes that's 7 days for domestic and 30 days for commercial thankfully we don't do much commercial as both times I've been caught out for jobs in there thousands have been commercial. One time it was my fault foe not doing the research on the company before hand the second the firm went bust
  7. I want one. What sort of mpg are you getting out of it
  8. It's one that bolts on the end of the elevator like the posch one. If you run the elevator at two thirds speed or below it's great. Above that and it throws it over the griddle. I think it works well a days processing and you can have 3 barrows of tailings. But I've nothing to compare it to as the farmi never had it. As we charge good money for our loads I like to keep the crap out of the bags. I take all the kindling like bits and net it giving it to our regulars I've currently got 5 cube bags and 4 barrow bags of the stuff. Next time I'm at the yard I'll take a pic
  9. A few years back had a none payer was dealing with the wife who basically told me I was not getting paid as there was some saw dust on the drive. We tidy up that well you would not know we were there. Called on a sat morning when the family were having breakfast husband answered very jolly and thanked me for the job asking what he could do for me. When I told him that I had not been paid he went bright red and told me his wife had the cash to pay the same day. He quickly wrote a cheque with an extra £50 on it with her standing there like butter wouldn't melt. He owns a local firm she is a teacher
  10. I'm not sure there's 3 sections to it
  11. When ohhhh when is one of the big manufactures going to see there's a gap in the market for a good 4x4,that does exactly what it suppose to do.
  12. Ps we have log cleaner on ours
  13. Did a contracting job and was filling a high sided grain trailer IMO that was the limit a silage trailer has 3 ft on that.
  14. Where's treequip when you need him
  15. From what I can understand this row had been brewing for ages and a mahout factor was the lack of support from said producer when it all went Pete tong in Argantinia. So I'm guessing Clarkson had been wound up over a long time and the steak was the final incident. The days of going outside and sorting your differentces out are long gone
  16. I've witnessed two very serious accidents when I was involved in steel erection the first time it took 6 months for me to regain my confidence in the air and 12 months to fully come to terms with it. The second was a family member who all though he survived was left in a very bad way. I put all my time into helping him and his family get though it. He went onto retrain and works as a health and safety advisor. After the second incident I never returned to the industry much of that was due to the way the investigation into the accident was conducted and the firm employing us turning there back on us. It was a blessing in disguise as I went on to start my own landscaping firm which I get more satisfaction out of. Don't be a typical bloke and bottle it up or start spending more time in the pub, go see your GP and explain how you feel and see what he has to offer. It's the same with any traumatic event the more you talk about it the easier it is to get your head round.
  17. Yes but if it's just an extra layer of security they will either rob some other poor bastrd or give you enough time to catch them in the act then the fun begins

  19. Good processor had one myself wish I had kept it to run along side my tajfun
  20. 30 years doing firewood FairPlay you must be doing something right then:001_smile: We have started supplying in crates as we have our kiln dried cooked by someone elsa so it cuts down on the handling and transporting is better.
  21. The only thing I no about power lines is it's best me stop away from umm I did wonder if he was having a laugh.
  22. Going off topic a little a friend of mine has a big yard under a set of hv cables he changes the battery's in all the machines every 6 months because the lines drain them apparently
  23. Before long he would want a private jet on standby. Where do you stop Jon
