  1. heat the rings up, put them on the wooden shaft, then run them under the tap. Two rings I find are best.
  2. The higher you cut them the weaker the regeneration

  4. Yes it's a fungi known as rust. common on fresh seeded lawns and sandy soil

  6. This weekend at the Rural Past Times Show. There will be a friendly pole climbing competition to raise money for charity. The show is on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th August at Pestalozzi Village, Seddlescombe, East Sussex. If you are interested you are welcome to come along and give it a try.

  8. Yes it's a Purple emperor. and it was in oak woodland. Had one fly into the tractor cab last year but no camera that time. they come down from the tree tops in the morning looking for salt. this one found some on my hand

If a LOLER inspector thinks he can pass a bit of polyprop that has no relevant ce markings for the industry, then yes he should, also questionable in his translation of the regulations, by the way I am a LOLER inspector LOLER instructor and have run seminars on LOLER and work at hight regulations at the request of the HSE.
  20. Sounds like there's a LOLER inspector that's in real need of an update course
  21. OK fair comment. I thought this forum was for people to give there opinion. but not to state out right that someone is wrong. who may be far more qualified than them. But lets take this to the extreme. If somebody presented a brand new bit of polyprop rope for examination should the LOLER inspector pass it?
