  2. Sorry the SWL Is not required if there is a WLL. it's in the ACOP.
  3. The SWL IS a legal requirement on rigging kit. The SWL should be on all items of rigging kit including ropes. Safety factor for Ropes MBS Divided by 10 Textiles MBS Divided by 7 Metal MBS Divided by 5
  4. you are allowed no more than two cut strands in one metre of climbing line
  5. If you are climbing then you should hold cs38. To pass cs38 you should know the answers. If you can't remember then it should be in your training book given to you on your course. You should keep a weekly record of inspection for all your climbing equipment. Six monthly independent loler inspection. All equipment over 6 months needs inspection. All paperwork from purchase needs to be kept as a record of conformity. All equipment must have an individual serial number.

  10. This is a very poor situation. Assessment requirements The height of the final anchor point must be suitable for the operation and must be at least 12 metres. It is expected that it will normally be higher AERIAL RESCUE The casualty is secured in the tree or on a ‘pole’ (standing stem) at least five metres from the ground If you have firm evidence this needs reporting to NPTC, Tree climbing assessments should follow the rope access example, Pass your climbing assessment then after one years experience 1000 hrs recorded, then be able to do the AERIAL RESCUE

  14. There must be. look on the inside of all the webbing. No en numbers and no paper work, you can't use it should conform to EN 358 AND EN 813

  17. If you have receipt when purchased new the harness can be recorded as from then, if not the date is then taken from the harness. so long as the date is not on a replaceable part, what collage are you at ?
