Look up chainsawbars Rob Ds site sponsored on here, awesome chain selector. simple http://www.chainsawbars.co.uk :thumbup1:/
  2. 8 wheelers gross tonnage is 32 artic can vary but 44 tonne is uk max on 6 axles. An artic with bulk tipper can weigh as little as 13 tonne empty approx, depending an 8 wheeler maybe 11 depending. Its a loaded question literally. Width of cargo area x length and how high. I assume you are taking about a tipper. If so another time artic probably better if a grain bulker type trailer.
  3. I thought they robbed honey and had disputes if nearby:blushing:
  4. Shut shop in winter and hibernate. Will get moved out later i pressume. Easier to keep sugared up at home.
  5. Never used them but these UK hauliers - Driffield | J A Cox & Son Ltd Specialize in agricultural machinery and have contacts, should point you in right direction.
  6. Very true :thumbup:same as give people an acre to park in they will park in the middle.
  7. Bit different but my dad had 5yrs limping and low quality of life, had knee done at 69 and much improved but he wasn't a climber.
  8. This is a common post recently. I'd go with new pump cheaper in long run.

  11. I once did the mulch and no did thing. Only problem is habouring slugs and unwanted veg munchers. Maybe some ash from the fire as a base. I suceeded with brassicas through black plastic as well.
  12. But apparently if the eggs are fertilized they are lower in cholesterol, whatever that is:001_rolleyes:
  13. Thats because your BIG J nowt to do with yer meter.
  14. I bought a second hand one on ebay for £180 about 4 years ago. It made our hourly rate convert from around£11 to £22 on a post and 4 rail job. I think 51mm is the smallest nail a 350 model will do. If you are going to be nailing up in cold weather it may be worth getting the new more expensive model. It operates at lower temps and has other features. I put my gas in my pocket or other warm place to warm up, if its not firing.
  15. That bloke is so tight he'd sell his a@@@hole if he could poo through his ribs. and If he tummeled(yorkshire for tumbled) in to a toilet he'd come out with a fur coat on. The height aggravation is a short cock and two fat bellies.

    Free Cock!

What breed? That may get a better result.
  17. We should do a poll, Does your pee stink unreal after eating asparagus, Yes or No. Apparentley it's a genetic thing you have either got it or you aint. It still startles me the first time I have it each season.
  18. I have great intentions, then its the watering. I spent last summer making compost and thoughly enjoyed that. Have set up a couple of raised beds as well, Got asparagus, strawberries in a barrel, lots of experimenting, also intend to sand filter bath water for some crops as we don't get a lot of rain (except last year) Got a kiwi fruit, Tayberries Rhubarb, Aronia, honeyberry. Have got spinach in now and japanese overwintering onions Sensyu. Garlic is out and growing. And yes Tony I want to do some fungi logs. I recommend charles dowdings book as well. Read it a couple of months back. Hoping to make compost tea as well (the dream list is getting big) I liked watching Geoff Hamilton as a kid when organic was poo pood. He made sense. Also have some bocking 14 comfrey plants. Favourite tomato to grow is sweet million F1 a cherry type. Spring is almost here dudes and we are in good company, If Mr Bullman shaped himself last year, Mrs B should have raised beds. Sniffing the humus already dudes.
  19. Hull city council employ a legal team to squash these claims. I know of a buckled alloyed these refused to consider and a solicitor said more expensive to pursue than fix.
  20. A few hundred for a good one, but pays back in fuel economy:biggrin:
  21. I have a go now and then, mostly when on holiday which is rare these days. Not the thrill stuff though. Another avenue I maybe should of pursued when I was younger.
  22. Personally I would avoid anything with thorns If Im maintaining it, unless you need to keep feral children and livestock out. Instead of following convention and planting staggered rows 6 plants per metre which is competetive for plants, why not plant 3 or 4 feet apart and include aronia, gojii berry, currants etc. Also for earlier years a few autumn fruiting raspberries and thornless tayberry, loganberry etc. In time these fillers will die out. Depends on how fruitful you want it. Yes you will need to leave it wider long term as many things flower/fruit on previous seasons new growth. Plants will need individual pruning, it will be difficult to have a cropping short back and sides uniform hedge.

  24. To be fair to current business owner as James points out he has been good to him, but don't pay over the odds. Beats me why window cleaners buy and sell rounds, you are not guarenteed to keep custom. You don't say if any staff included in deal, best to have just yourself or you and one employee. I've seen chaps set up, overwhelmed with work take on more staff then all out on different jobs doing little as possible, long breaks etc. Boss chasing around after lads then not doing work themselves. Keep it small, turn away excess work keep reputation. Could you pay in installments over 3 years? You would be better off paying a bit more to ex owner than being messed on by banks. Whatever you do put it in writing in duplicate for both your sakes.
  25. Flipping heck 30 days! In the last 2 years up to 3 months has been regular to me, Im no high income business either. As a self employed subbie just doing a day or two's labour often for some. It has only been a serious problem for the last 2 years because alot seem to be paying at the last chance which me being at the bottom of the chain delays my payday. I have been asked to wait to help their cashflow. In this situ its an employees world, they have to be paid. However if you are doing domestic work Really they should pay on the day or asap thereafter. Don't buy something you can't afford. Also taking commercial practices in to domestic, people trying to have it all their way.
