  1. I was talking to a 17yr old last week, he goes to the same school that I went to. He was saying they cancelled a school trip because of the covid pandemic. I told him they cancelled my school trip due to the foot and mouth pandemic!
  2. Back in the day with the mk6 and mk7 Transits, The Southampton built vans defiantly rusted a lot more than the Turkish factory ones.
  3. I phoned up a supplier to try and buy a new ladder, but there was no answer. It just rung and rung.
  4. https://arbtalk.co.uk/profile/76510-kimosabi/ ^gotta be related
  5. Can you post them up to the Highlands? 0 plums this year, frost got the blossom Will swap for dead elm timber, 2-4ft diameter
  6. The other part of the sweepstake is how long till they get banned and have to sign up under another new name
  7. The attention seeker will love this thread! Anyone want to guess what Hedge Mong's other username(s) is/are? I reckon there'll be a few. I guess in these days of virtual IP Steve can't look it up and tell us....
  8. You don't even need car insurance (or a licence). You're not driving, you're a sovereign citizen being conveyed in a horseless carriage. If the rozzers try to arrest you, just scream at them "I KNOW MY RIGHTS!!!!!1!!1!!"
  9. I don't follow rugby, is it custom to watch it naked? I usually do that with the woman's football

    Jokes???

Not really a joke, but hey.......
  12. The sunshine and bare skin is a giveaway too Is it a telephone pole it's growing around? Does the local telephone company have any interest in cutting the tree?
  13. I once went to the Asian (Chinese) cash and carry in Glasgow, up the back was like going to the Sea Life Centre!! Rows and rows of tanks full of all the wonders of the ocean, swimming round, ready to be bagged up and taken away. Recently I had some French folks staying the night, I was showing them the menu from the local chippy and explaining the delights of a black pudding or haggis supper. They asked what it's made from, but had a horrified look on their faces when I told them Never even got as far as the deep fried pizza, or battered mars bars.
  14. Horse meat, yes please, I love a good beef lasagne!
  15. Sorry to say it but a lot of the log splitters for sale are pretty naff, they don't seem to be designed with any efficiency or ergonomics in mind. You will be able to modify any log splitter into single handed if you wish. I've even seen some that are foot operated, but that's probably taking it a bit too far!
  16. Woodlands TV once did a video on Benders, Pimps, and Faggots. Or as I like to call it, the arbtalk member list.
  17. Replying to my own post from a couple of years ago, just saw this was in court the other week. The guy went missing (killed) 6yrs ago Twins hit charity cyclist with truck then hid body in carcass pit, Glasgow court told | Scotland | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Disappearance of Tony Parsons in 2017 finally resolved after Alexander McKellar took girlfriend to burial site
  18. Not all the forum members know this, but there's actually a private "members club" side of arbtalk, there's various forums, and they're all a lot busier than the main public part of the site. I think you need to pm @Steve Bullman for more info. They have a new members ballot/nominations twice a year on the summer and winter solstice. Except on a leap year. You do have to pay a fee to join, it's quite an investment and it's a bit of pain finding enough non-sequential banknotes and having to send them via a private courier service to a po box on an industrial estate in the midlands where they are transferred into the forum currency ArbCoin. Every third Thursday in the month (excluding February, June and November) there is an online pub quiz with prizes like cuddly toy, meet and great with Elton John, Timberwolf keyring, etc You can collect airmiles for every post you make, I've saved up enough for a single ticket between Westray and Papa Westray. Aswell as the forums itself, they have a discount scheme where you get 20% off new Husqvarna chainsaws, 15% off Stihl, and 10% off at Pizza Express (selected restaurants, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only). It's not actually a discount card, you just have to go in and give a specific handshake that leaves a small amount of elm sawdust in the staff members hand, and they'll know what the craic is. There's a couple of initiation rituals for the private members' section, at first they seem a bit sadistic but I have been informed by my doctor that my rectum should be 95% recovered by christmas. (he didn't say which christmas though?). And the goat gets to live out the rest of it's life on a sanctuary in Dorset. The tattoo doesn't look as bad as you think it would. Hope that helps, remember you need to pm @Steve Bullman with the subject title "jkhbsdfkjsfdhgfQA"
  19. Every day's a school day, I'd never heard of penis fish before https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/real-life/news-life/thousands-of-penis-fish-wash-up-on-argentinian-beach/news-story/888b9394ea6f259bb8c9699b0fdc1190
  20. First post in 4 and a half years, welcome back!
  21. BBC news today: Plan for biggest Nessie search in more than 50 years WWW.BBC.CO.UK Volunteers have been sought for the effort which is to feature drones fitted with infrared cameras.
  22. I did build a willow dome in the end, was running out of time, the willow was starting to grow in the water barrels. First dome I've done, it was a nice fun wee job to do. Complete with knee high curved escape tunnel. The main doorway faces south, so it's ideal on a sunny day, you can lie inside in the sunshine, or if it's too hot move to the sides and you're in the shade It's not had any weaving or trimming yet, so is looking a bit furry now!
  23. Do you not have a use for the firewood yourselves? You could apply for felling licence, get all the work done now, and not really make any money off it. Or use it as a sustainable source of firewood, cutting a little every year, exempt from felling licence, and you can kinda do what you want with the place
