  1. I tend to place the infected log in my log burner for around 45 minutes, that eradicates the bugs and has the added bonus of keeping you warm.......if it is lit:thumbup:
  2. We did this a while ago, it always helps to know a budget but 100w and heated with a capacity of 1-2 litres does it for me. You can get dedicated cleaner for carbs and that is what I use.
  3. Mmmm, and I remember your response, seems you were right, just a flood of work that keeps coming:001_rolleyes: can't complain though:thumbup:

    Ms390

    No, no plate fitted!
  5. Yes, I texted you but it bounced so emailed you! Be a while before I get in to them, it is all busy busy busy here:001_rolleyes:
  6. Leakdown test (Pressure/Vacuum) then. Just make up squares of rubber to suit and fit between the muffler/carb and cylinder.
  7. You sure about that, only seen 0.404 on real big machines???
  8. Are you running 0.325" on both the 357 and 362 and same chain type?
  9. It is worth metering off the HT lead and making sure that is OK, disconnecting the kill wire etc. You can sometimes feel the HT a little but you should be able to jump 5-10mm with a decent coil. Make sure the coil is well earthed on the body of the saw - My My - that's a big saw:sneaky2:
  10. Thrash it hard for short periods - no long drawn out cuts but use it hard, the early parts of an engines life are where most bedding in takes place so make the most of it. The 357 should be a nice surprise once done:thumbup:
  11. What he said! Are you testing primary or secondary compression and are you looking to test for leaks?
  12. Better than buying some Chinese toot! Hope it has the original top end on it!
  13. Yes.....quite - how difficult is it to pop a mobile number in there:001_rolleyes: Bloody simple!!!
  14. It is working out a bit too well, had to work two days this weekend to keep up:001_rolleyes: Can't complain though, work keeps rolling in:thumbup: Customers keep coming back and recommending me:thumbup:
  15. I know Husqvarna autotunes can hold similar info but am yet to find one that has this info embedded. It is about time that this is done at the point of sale!
  16. Am I busy....seems the local dealers am making it very easy for me, I have a two week backlog now so send it in in two weeks as it won't get looked at for a wee while! 372 mount is fine, got 20" & 24" bar and chains in that mount!
  17. If you are asking me.....I have pretty much all types of bar and chain excluding the MS880 Stihl type. So...small Stihl, mid Stihl, Small Husqvarna, big Husqvarna etc not an issue!
  18. My experience with saws is that a carb should dial in in seconds and any saw that is fidgety and sensitive on carb settings has issues in the carb or elsewhere.
  19. Local Brewery??? Pub name????Dodgy teachers at your school or am I being thick:confused1: Ah.....you are a Russian spy and it is code......the dodo flies at midnight:sneaky2:
  20. Ah TTS - visited their machine shop when it was actually in Towcester, they also had a rather rapid drag-bike in the day!
  21. My advice, stop worrying and get some medical advice. It may be work related and lets hope it is because it is fixable. Some of the symptoms you are describe are the same as MS and the earlier you get diagnosed for that, the better. It is hopefully work related but go and see a quack, tell him of all the symptoms and when they are worst and let him arrange the further tests and find the final outcome. Hope it all ends well!
  22. Mmmm - That will be the day from what I've heard:sneaky2:
  23. That's rubbish, the one that comes up with a sensible security device, patents it and sells it and has what we call a USP - Unique Selling Point......increases sales and gives the manufacture a head start.......now whose the idiot....you should get out more bud......stop smelling the Aspen:lol:
  24. It is possible that the manufacturers could do more - another thing that can be done with autotune kit is storing the owners details on it - not often done!
