  2. Yup, Meripilus. That bit on the left looks a bit strange tho Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Hope your getting better Chris. Have the doctors thought to test SF yet? It's probably something he's carried up from London! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Does your friend have a better camera? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. An update on this Head gardener confirmed that a Beech tree was taken down there about 10 years ago. The Meripilus has been popping up for the last two years. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Is Sarin that easy to get hold of then? I thought that the rebels had little more than rifles and rpg's. and it does seem that the regime did wait just long enough for the evidence to fade before allowing inspectors in. i still think we shouldn't go in...........yet. What I would like the politicians to answer is, if Britain is such a nobel defender of others basic human liberties, why have we turned a blind eye to the likes of Mugabe. 7. Ian, me and one of my guys could be interested in this training. Maybe we could get a group booking. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. I'm an associate member which means that I get the Arb magazine and journals, i get the members' benefits. I can't use the AA logo but I can state that I am an associate member of the Arb Association. Costs about £115 a year. I think that i've probably already saved that this year from the free entry to the Arb show and discounted training events. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. ....don't know how good she'll be coping with drains. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. I think that that part of the avenue are all young-ish Lime trees. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. Hi mendi plogs, Much better than CharlieD. My wife has asked me several times if she could work with me. After viewing a particularly nasty Spruce completely matted in dead ivy from top to bottom, I decided to give her a go. She actually did surprisingly well. The tree wasn't coming down very quickly due to all the ivy but she kept up and operated the chipper very well. Did get a sticky bum tho after sitting on one of the logs Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Think it's Meripilus. No host tho! Guess there must be part of a stump left underground but I've known the site for 11 years without any tree there. . Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. I'm going to come out with it.....I was having indecent thought about my new groundie yesterday. Managed to get a couple of sneaky pics. Obviously need to get her some proper PPE if she's going to continue working we me. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Yesterdays Ailanthus job. Not a major reduction. More re-shaping, deadwooding, slight thinning and cutting back from over the roof. Tricky one though as the branches on Ailanthus snap very easily. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. In my area i'm probably one of the cheaper professionals. I still get undercut quite regularly by the non-professionals. I occasionally get them over the cheaper quotes because the tree owner can tell I know what i'm talking about. Looked at a job for a local contractor that I sometimes work with. He was told they were Chestnuts and didn't know any different. They were actually Lime trees! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Nasty. That must have been a gusher. Did he return to tree work? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. May be the only video you need. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZsfGIizMoQ]P1 - Deep Forearm LAC due to Chainsaw accident - YouTube[/ame]
  18. 2 litttreees offf rred bulll. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. Should also say, nothing special in the site. Been a dumping ground/wilderness for decades. Site size approx 40x15yards. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Been asked to quote for a site clearance. Question is, what are the laws on clearing a site? Suspect ready for development but before any application has been made. I have to confirm that it's not a CA, i think one Lime at the end of the site is TPO'ed. Need to get this right as I know one neighbour to the site is a royal PITA and loves spending her money with solicitors. Thanks, Ed Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. I must admit I do navel gaze far too much. Luckily my wife didn't notice! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. Really pleased that it's going so well for you Rob and that your managing to keep a life away from work. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. Should be called Fox's Den. Did chris win the squirrel on the hammer thing? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. If it's the same barrel as the tow TW, they are not much new - £30 to £40, I think. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. Would it look anything like this (but without the suits)? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
