  1. it is possible for a diesel to run on its own oil when it goes belly up as the oil can transfer into the intake via the breather pipework but they aren't an easy thing to stop usually they go bang as rpm is controlled by fuel so free fuel = loads of revs

  5. honda power barrow that was done into a drill rig for geothermal we bought it for £400 so far the whole project has cost us about £440 plus my time to build it

  9. i have cleaned the carb out about 3 times still not any better i am thinking that a fuel gallery is choked new carb £20 ish on ebay

  11. its pretty well balanced when you take the grinder off it wants to tip backwards this will get sorted when we make up a timber rack for it
  12. can anybody give me the basic carb settings for a gx390 ours plays up i have cleaned the crap out of the carb and it still hunts up and down it only runs clean when the choke is half on at any rpm any pointers

  17. what he means is if there is coolant loss the sensor can't detect the engine temp therefore no shutdown

  19. picked it up in newcastle 6pm last night up the road to denny at 9 had it up and down the street at 9.15 almost hit wifes car at 9.18 stripped the rig and all the rest of the crap off at 9.25 looking forward to a new project but unfortunately have to go on a course next week
  20. managed to pick up a tracked dumper that had been converted to a drill rig we are gonna put a timber rack and tow point on it for pulling the arb trolley we are also gonna build a grinder head for it with hyd controls we are getting a bit hacked off using the pedestrian grinder so i think itll be an ideal platform for it
  21. defo fuel restriction fill the fuel filter up and try it or run it on a 5 gallon drum
  22. this is an easy repair drain the tank measure from the centre of the pin remove the cylinder or compress it to get it out the road cut of the horizontal plate gouge out the cracks with grinder fill up with weld grind flat with flap disc this helps stop cracks forming get a plate of weldox or similar spec plate make it bigger than the damaged area go for 10mm thick refit the horizontal plate removing 10 ish mm from the welded end hey presto job done after welding use low hi 7018 rods or if you want to mig aws 5.18 i think. hope this helps

  25. got the chance of a tracked barrow are they anyuse for the rigours of tree work? do they fall to bits easily
