  3. i only run my saws up until 9pm at night after that i think its a no no

  5. almost all the time i use the brake but i think the slamming off the brake on at full throttle is a waste of time i prefer to stick it on and give it a few revs to check its ok

  11. i would say you weren't far off the price we done one similar for i tree and it was £400 you win some you lose some don't drop your price ,kit costs a fortune and doesn't repair itself

  13. ha ha i am laughing at this our local cat dealer lost our 70 ton excavator when we were buying it new these things happen all the time especially when its got an 80ft boom on it:confused1:
  14. i would use a new grinding disc on a 4 1/2 grinder to get a good square edge
  15. just sticking a turbo on is a no no for an industrial type diesel you will need different pistons and piston cooling nozzles different fuel pump and afc device also intercooler depending on boost pressure and the ball ache of getting it all to fit also turbos are matched to their application its easier just doing a repower with a more powerful lump

  17. we kinda evolved into doing grinding its an add on to our business there is good profit to be made doing it but they are machines of self destruction you will never be away from them with spanners and a welder and thats if you have a bit of mechanical sympathy we didnt realise at the time but as the power goes up the wear rate of tips goes up quite a bit we use greenteeth and sharpen them i would like to know somebody elses costs per hour to see how it compares up against green teeth the other factor as well is that if you are doing say 2 hours grinding on 6'' leylandii stumps you will ruin more cutters than doing 2 hours on a big beech but i aint no expert on the subject
  18. i would do it again in a minute the last time i shopped them it was for dumping asbestos
  19. if you cant get gasket paper a thick serial box does the job just as good as it says on the box they're great

  24. i should have taken a picture of it but i didnt its small round and black/purplish looks like an anemone from the sea and its 1 1/2 - 2 inches in diameter any pointers please
