  1. i am going to cut all of my logs at 9 inch this season . there is nothing worse than a log too big for a fire.
  2. been a bit wam in the glass house today planting tomatoes had a 5.30 start on the asparagus field then into 90 degree heat in the green house .

  5. awsome, had a guy who used to compete with us you may know him lane snook he could close no 3 grippers each hand same time, he was a good shot putter too ,mates with geoff capes who insedently my dad used to compete against as a school boy in atheletics, any way totaly derailing from the topic sorry.
  6. talking of grip mate, have you ever had a go with the captains of crush grippers !! sounds like after the comp you could do with a rest , i allways used to get little injuries just before a comp how long do you cycle your training before a comp i used to be about 8 weeks , towards the end of the 8 weeks although i would be stronger the repitition would take its toll on my joints . anyway good luck mate
  7. please dont tell me you bench that weight without a spotter!!! so your gottta be looking for 202 for a single on the bench and a 305 on the dead very respectable weight mate wish the comp was closer all the best ,let us know how you get on.

  9. steve i use a couple of builders tressles from build base you can adjust the hight and you can use them for bench press stands too!! and because im a tight git they are cheap

  16. squats, bench press, deadlifts, power cleans thats all you need to do 3 to 4 sets of 4 to 6 reps . use the formula that is say if your best squat is 100 kg x1 rep , then you should do x2 reps @ 95 kg then 3reps @90 kg and so on, if you dont know how to do these exercise's then go to a gym and let a pro show you, all the best dave

  19. the trouble with a combine is that it stands in the shead 11 months of the year!
  20. those machines never will pay for themselves, take my massey 135 my father paid £400 for it back in the day i have just finnished drilling our 30 achers of sugar beet like it has done for 40 years ,its still going strong ,dont think it o's us anything, but a 60 grand tractor you really need to be turning over some to make it pay. by the way is it a new holland on your avitar or is it a (landini )
  21. the trouble is that money is tight for everyone at the moment if they can get it done cheaper they will, no one cares how much your kit costs or how much fuel and oil has gone up or that your insurence has gone up all the general public want is it done , like the budgie.....cheap!
