  1. Lets begin shall we:lol: 1 - L200 into the back of another L200. Nackered oil cooler, front bumper and numberplate 2 - Never put your finger where it shouldn't be. Especially when you colleague pushes the chipper when you fixing the wheel clamp. 3 - Rather stuck . Couldn't get up the hill so went down it and nearly has a trip onto the trailway down a 30 ft drop. 4 - We told the contractor to wait so we could open the barrier for him:001_rolleyes: 5 - Most recently cooleague put the back window in on the truck. We warned him of the wall and low roof but he didnt listen. I thought i had lots of pics of us stuck but cant find them.
  2. Ha ha just seen the thread. Let me have a look through thousands of pics
  3. We have an 090 AV called "The Beast" Not very original but when it has a 20 inch bar it is a bit of a brute.

  5. Its a regular dog walking spot for my dad and i. Nothing too interesting about it. Just a massive area of Post WW2 pine plantation with pockets of Birch and Alder bog. There are a few veteranising birches with Razor Strop. It was used many many years ago as a stage of the Sunseeker Rally. Can anyone identify the tree in the first two pictures?
  6. Supper tonight. A fully filled locally sourced game pie which came with a warning saying "May contain lead shot". 14 inches of perfection for £20. Anyone see Pac-man in the first picture?
  7. They usually meet in the paddock across the road from the Crown Hotel but they had to use the car park because of the water. Took my camera just forgot to put the SD card in ha ha. Nevermind will always be next year.
  8. Went to the local hunt meet this morning. Had some evil mulled Cider which went down extremely well. Had a very good turn out as always. Must have been over 100 horses and 50 hounds this year and approximately 3000 people lining the roads. The usual meeting point was under about a foot of water so they held it in the local hotel car park.
  9. Bulldog with about 15 mins each side with an angle grinder to take the angle out of the blade. We grind the tips down as well so they are neigh on flat but easily sharpened with a cigar stone.
  10. Was meant to be out tonight but my m8 sent me a text message at 10 saying he is out. CBA getting dressed again to go out for a couple of hours.
  11. Just added another £10. Will add another 10 in the new year.
  12. We use Wilkinson Sword loppers for hedge laying and most other work. We have some Fiskars bypass loppers but the problem we have found with those is the plastic at the head end is rather weak (snapped 2 in one day cutting stuff smaller than my thumb width). But the Wilkinson sword ones are the bees knees for hedge laying and heavy pruning work.
  13. Its in the garage. It went in on thursday but had some flood water to drive through to get to the garage as the main road to the depot was shut. We went the scenic route which was fun and flooded to say to the least.
  14. Is it just me or do the pops look like seriously overdue pollard heads? They are all growing multiple stems from roughly the same height.
  15. My old man was chatting to a gun yesterday who has marked down everyday it has rained this year. So far since June in the south-west we have only had 60 dry days. The rest of the time it has been raining. It has just started to spit a bit here again but the river was over its banks at lunchtime and back down again by tea time. I currently have 6 sites which we cannot even walk around unless we have wellies on as the water table is so high.
  16. Hopefully the link works but this one? https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=simms+avenue+st+helens&hl=en&ll=53.451989,-2.706091&spn=0.008868,0.022724&safe=off&hnear=Simms+Ave,+St+Helens+WA9+1SP,+United+Kingdom&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=53.452021,-2.706145&panoid=PtbeuWeE4d-DzjsTKEjp9Q&cbp=12,165.13,,0,-20.31
  17. Oh yes. A locally shot Fallow buck on an estate i beat and shoot on. The head is going up in the beaters hut once it is picked clean by the local wildlife.
  18. Had our 6.5lb of Venison Hauch delivered today by a friend of the family. It wont last long once it is cooked in red wine for 5 hours on a lowish heat. Got roast pork and beef that my auntie and uncle are cooking at their place.
  19. Gave them a very good pressure wash out whilst the wheels were off on the front as could only see the front calipers are rears are drums. Both seemed out and had colleague turn the wheel so i could see clearer. It is in the workshop over xmas now as my colleague put thw truckman glass through after hitting a low roof of an out building. Hopefully they will replace the brake shoes all round whilst its in.
  20. Sadly not as left the bloody camera at home and phone is crap for picture taking in the dark. My cousins were helping and they got plenty of pics but haven't heard from them all day so they are either sleeping or the mobile phone mast is dead. As soon as i get the pics i'll put them up.
  21. Cheers. It was a massive operation. The main road we were going to come in on was under about 6 feet of fast flowing water and that was before we got to the river. We cam in a smaller road but had to drive through 3 ft of fast flowing water to get to the other side. We stayed there over night/ eary morning as the river was up and down in about 8 hours. There is a massive dam of trees and brash wedged under the main arch of the road bridge which is shut as the tarmac has cracked which is a sign the bridge has moved.
  22. Anyone hear about the River Barle in Dulverton last night. A couple of family members live down that neck of the woods. My dad and i drove down there in the landy to help out. We were anticipating about 2 ft of water across the roads. Not 6 ft in places. The main bridge had several large trees and resulting rubbish dammed up which increased the problem. It had enough force to lift massive lumps of tarmac off the road. It was a massive operation but the police, ambulance and fire crews all helped out and the locals grouped together to get families out of flooded homes and take them to the makeshift "comfort centre". Didn't get any pictures of the flooding as left my camera at home. BBC News - Homes in Somerset are flooded as river bursts
  23. On the lil farm shoot i pretty much run. We used a 300hp John Deere and a 10 ton chain to pull it out. It still ran and drove but it took out two strainer posts on the way down so the back end was stoved in.
  24. He was very red faced at the end of the drive when it was recovered from the lake.
