  1. We got a few in bud and flower but none in full leaf.
  2. An almost complete food web in one pic. All we need is two more predators.
  3. He's waiting for his din as it was taken at about 7.45pm. Loads of pip and serotines were out too.
  4. Got some nice shots of young Dryad's Saddle at the weekend. All on Sycamore.
  5. I think it was very very harsh of the stewards to penalise hamilton when it was alonso who hit him. Alonso was so close behind Hamilton he didnt have the down force to steer and slid into the back of him. Hamilton didnt brake to cause the crash. I suspect Hamilton will redeem himself at China next week.
  6. Hazard I.D'd. Well within falling distance of trailway but sadly on private land and we dont know who the land owner is. Going to be keeping a very close eye on it this year.
  7. This will hopefully during the summer become ours ready for us to hammer it in the winter. The piece of land next to it is part of the old railway line as well but no-one has any idea what it is/was.
  8. Pics of fungi i have found whilst out with me mutts.
  9. Found these beauties on my mowing round from Shillingstone Station to Stourpaine and back. Not particularly clear pics as taken on my phone but still cracking trees with interesting root systems.
  10. Konica Minolta Dimage Z2. Its my dads current SLR as he is thinking of buying a Canon EOS SLR. I am currently waiting for an order number (pain in the backside system the council have) then i can go and collect my new camera which is a Fujifilm JV200.
  11. The bunnies are our free grazers. Just recently their numbers have gone through the roof after an outbreak of mixy a few years back.
  12. If is going to be a scorcher and we are stump treating we generally wear the type A ones as they are lighter and have a bit more breathability. I have done it a few times during the summer when we are mowing or spraying. Normally just soak the t-shirt wring it out once and back on it goes. I have only gone swimming once as it was so damn hot. Forgot one very important thing though....... A towel. Was refreshing though.
  13. I was gonna say that too. If the tree its leaning into has been comprimised then we just cut it ( split one) out at the base and winch the butt out till the crown goes.
  14. Has it split at the base or further up?
  15. Urad works well. I use it on my work boots. Need to apply it atleast once a week (depending on site) Keeps the sloppy mud and repels water really well.
  16. It was the bog standard Hemlock (Conium maculatum). Arms were itching like mad yesterday in the sun and luckily held my breath when the discharge was facing the wind. No ill effects. So will live to fight another day.
  17. Yep. Got a 19 yr old sister that seems to be constantly on. It is so frustrating as we have to be careful what we say as she can flip at the flick of the preverbial switch
  18. Had first bbq of the year and in my mind it went very well. Used logs to cook the food and it tasted very nice. All but one of my family liked it. My sister hated it as it tasted of burning wood. LOL. What a surprise that my sis didnt like my cooking. Whenever she cooks chips she cooks enough for the family but picks out the better ones for herself. Not happy as my bbqs are normally admired by my family except my sis.
  19. Cant stand it. Its basically finding britains biggest rejects/oddballs and putting locking them in a house. My mum is happy that its coming back. Whenever its comes back i shall be listening to music outside no matter how cold.
  20. Oh good just when we thought it was going to be no more. Its back only on Channel 5. BBC News - Big Brother moving to Channel 5
