  1. Glad driver got away unscathed though!!!
  2. Presume it's PTO driven so would weigh less than an engined chipper. I drive tractor around with more weight than that on the back and nothing on the front arms and have never (touch wood) felt it lift. I can't understand how that would occur!
  3. Thank you for the replies! I was hoping someone might have suggested that it was something innocuous but had my suspicions. Upon reading the FC page, we do have plenty of rhodie around the park, including clumps within less than 10 metres. I have two other trees that I'm concerned about, both getting mature horse chestnuts. I will get photos of them up here but as mentioned, can't be sure from photo so will look at getting them tested. I'd rather be safe than sorry !
  4. My moneys on the cherry.
  5. Blackthorn: skin, tractor tyres, clothes, eyes; it hates them all!
  6. Philips' Mushroom book is superb. I had the huge version which is more coffee table material but there is a more recent version that is considerably smaller. Plus it's available to read on the internet here: Rogers Mushrooms | Mushroom Pictures & Mushroom Reference
  7. Yo, I'm fairly certain this is a young small-leaved lime, or at least some type of lime, but I'm interested in what the black patch is. It's present on the south face and seems to have spread in the last year. Can anyone suggest anything please. (Just tried posting the individual photos up here but Facebook has changed the gallery and I can't copy and paste photo locations so I've made the photos public). http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=274235&id=513988371&l=9d053f14cd Nice one thank you!
  8. Zing! All official now. Approved and licensed! Just need to find the time now!
  9. Yes please!!
  10. Yup we certainly do. We were even offered high chairs but turned them not really appropriate (they won't last five minutes). We couldn't get WMG just yet as we need to be assured as we exceed an acreage requirement. We are an LA and other LA woodlands have been certified and have approved plans in place, we are just waiting on them getting round to us. If that makes sense.
  11. Where did you get the ditching bucket from? We used to get one through Travis Perkins who subbed out the hire possibly to HSS or someone (or something like that) but someone went out of business (a subsub'??? ) and the ditching bucket ceased to be available. We are considering buying one just so we don't need to worry about hiring one in the future.
  12. See if you can get as large a water trough as you can find, or something similar, dip the bucket in it (don't pick water up with it) to keep the inside wet and the clay should come out easier. Failing that, a water filled ditch. Failing having water available, use a road pin to jimmy it out. My estate is mostly on clay soil and it's a right pain. It's enough to make baby jesus cry.
  13. Just had my first EWGS application approved, just waiting on contracts to arrive through the post. I won't be happy until they're in my hand. Only sent it off about 5 months ago! My FC officer has been pucka though, he's been down and given us a few ideas that fit in with our plan nicely, just been held up by LA's as part of the woodland falls within a Conservation Area. Fingers crossed they'll be here before end of the week. Got bare trees to do before them birdies start nesting, spring is most definitely thinking about an early start this year!
  14. Every time I use the local Shell garage, the cashier without fail asks me if I want to buy two Cadbury's Creme Eggs for a pound. They have only got me once. Get's on my tits though.
  15. Yeah, think he thought a little much of himself. He was like "he was a crap fighter, but an awkward fighter", which made me think he himself is not all that. Then he threatens to get his boys on the camera crew. What a chump. That hook at the beginning cracked the loser proper. Thought that would be it. [ame] [/ame] This guy was leagues above them. Look out for his biography, "King of the Gypsies". Well worth a read if you are into this sort of thing.
  16. Wear these gloves and you'll be able to punch harder, for longer. The reinforced knuckles will stop you ever having to worry about bleeding knuckles ever again.
  17. My head hurts.
  18. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzbUPISS6gw]YouTube - THE SHAMEN - MOVE ANY MOUNTAIN[/ame]
  19. Reversing that would make baby Jesus cry.
  20. Even nicer than normal Kronie! Pity ya can't get it in England. It made me almost tolerate being trapped in Paris.
  21. Grabbing is raw!
  22. Put them back in love!
  23. Prefer Billie Piper tbh.

    Jokes???

(say it out loud) Why does Edward Woodward have so many 'd's in his name? Otherwise he'd be called Ewar Woowar!
  25. Out of all the cardio equipment at the gym, I only ever use the rowing machines. I get bored far to quickly on the treadmills, bikes and cross-trainers. I'll warm up with 1,000metres, then do weights then warm down with 1,000metres. Only problem with them is that it's pretty tricky to fiddle with the display whilst rowing one handed.
