  11. Not alone mate. Sure it's sad, but there are many good 'normal' people with great promise who have done good deeds and die young. It's sad of course, but I never knew them, if I grieve for every sad loss of someone I never knew or met I'd be a very depressed individual! Sent from my GT-I9100 using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. Looks like this was reprinted in October 2013, missed it then. Just purchased new (not hardback) from Amazon for £72. Would have got it Summerfield but it seems they don't have it in stock. Get it while you can! Sent from my GT-I9100 using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. Hi, I see on Summerfield Books that: "Additions to the second edition include a major section of the identification of the principal wood-rotting fungi on trees, and items on water logging and exotic pests and diseases." Does anyone have a copy? Is it worth me updating from the original edition? Cheers all... Sent from my GT-I9100 using Arbtalk mobile app

  22. Not sure if this is the right forum to be posting in but here goes- I have got a Stropharia mushroom kit from minichamp.nl I have emailed them direct about a week ago asking what species of Stropharia is used in their grow kits, and recieved no reply. So I ask, Arbtalk Collective Brain, do you have any idea what this kit ACTUALLY contains inside it? I'd quite like to know what I'm supposed to be eating!

    Home brewing

Cheers for all the replies I'm all set ready to go now but have a couple of questions. Is tap water ok? My tap water tastes not great, so I generally drink cheap tesco mineral water, even squash is tainted (but drinkable) with tap water! Would it be worth using bottled mineral water? Other thing is 'conditioning'. I'm supposed to put sugar in the barrel after the fermentation to condition the brew. What does this really mean, and what if I don't add extra sugar at this stage? Could I use honey instead? Thanks in advance... Sent from my GT-I9100 using Arbtalk mobile app
