  1. I'm the 17th Samuel Thompson... in my very unimaginative family. I like Israel.
  2. Cheers man. Hows living with the fozz?
  3. Cheers man, i bet mine ends up like this
  4. I'm crap at electrics, always have been. So it's probably not wise that at some soon I'm going to fit a cd player to the truck, I'm sick of playing "guess the rattle". It has never had any form of audio, and I'm going to fit a cd and radio, so need to sort the aerial out too. I need to install an aerial (how, and where do you get them from) I assume the best place is in the front wing, drivers side? How to you run that to the head unit? Where is the best place to put the speakers (90 Hard top)? What are good speakers to get? Cheers lads!
  5. Nearly got my leg broken by a bouncing oak ring during a dismantle (I was grounding) over the summer. It hurt a lot.
  6. the woodsmith's store Online jobby, on phone so no link.
  7. Surely it said Dean Loft-House tree surgery though? Nice work though mate, if more people did this then everyone would be happier.
  8. Fitted her out with some lovely sound deadening today. Acoustic matting, marine ply and carpet... cut out around half the noise when driving. Reccomend it to anyone with a hard top! The one on the right is finished, the board on the left still needs the headlining sorting in this picture. I also need some new seat covers as they don't really fit. More bloody money However, got some old school bull bars and x2 Wipac spots for the grand price of £5.61 today :
  9. Like mine then... yippee:001_rolleyes:
  10. Not at all. I would look at an additional quarter or third on top of your day/hour rate Sam
  11. What is a 12J and a 19J? Well lost!
  12. I'm pretty sure mind are TF off the top of my head. Terrafirma has a very good name though, so I imagine they'll be good Sam
  13. How long is a piece of string? Try Strutt & Parker in Exeter. I think there is bloke there called Charles Huntington-Whitehead (do not quote me on this, it was a while ago I spoke to him!) who may be able to help. Sam
  14. I get 45p a mile... If it was a 130 rather than a 90 I would be wanting a lot more!
  15. Ahh gottcha. Thinnings or what? I am a nosey bugger
  16. Big lad doing a big lunge Does Jonathan Standing do the stalking in that wood? If it's where I'm thinking of it's near a naughty boys home?
  17. the price of land is levelling out at the moment, it wasn't possible to carry on rising up at the rate it was. A 32ac parcel sold at one of our grasslet auctions earlier this month for £3800pa, 6 months ago it would have been £4.5-£5k!
  18. That comment is spot on. Less than 200ac and I think you will really struggle to do anything but hobby farm. If you buy it and trying to make a serious living then i would forget farming and look at diversification; yurts, teepees - whatever grabs your fancy. Sam.
  19. Jonathan, Could you show me how much wood is a cubic foot of milled stuff? I'm very green (chuckle chuckle) on this milling lark, but fancy something to play with. Thanks Sam
  20. Has anyone got a set of the old school bull bars spare?
  21. Nothing fell off the Landrover and I didn't have to put diesel in it.
