It's cheap to insure It's cheap to fix It's comfortable to drive and uou won't fall asleep at the wheel on long journeys It's reliable It's classless It holds it's value It will go where not much else will It's changeable - I can go from hard top van to Soft top in about 20 minutes if I want to It can tow most everything most anywhere Nothing in it is made by Fox-Comm It makes me and other people happy.

Nothing wrong with a clean truck. Thing that annoys me is people that buy trucks, make them look "offroadery/overland like" and then just drive them on the road, telling me to clean my truck and paint it! Range Rovers are fantastic vehicles imo

Met a guy in the village who was stopping at the local centre parks today. He was driving a Puma 110 Station Wagon with blacked out windows, that stupid silver "fat" grille and huge, 20inch alloys and full leather interior. He started chatting to me (I had just posted a letter) about landrovers, he said that he couldn't understand what the diff-lock was about After I tried explaining it a bit to him he started picking my truck apart, asking why I let it get so muddy and rusty! Ended up really pished off so told him it was a working truck, and I needed to be off. Never had anything like that before, left me a bit speechless! Ended up thinking about the huge number are Landrovers especially that never see mud, I can't understand why you would want one as a town car! Pointless rant over!

Nice stuff Jonathan. Water is good down here, swimming about 3-4 times a week. Didnt start till the end of feb though! Have a lovely lake about 800m from the house here. Its great!

No fuel left at Tesco Carlisle ast night or Morrisons Penrith, solt out of both and both 3-4p more expensive than last week. The nation is shooting itself in the face with this. -
