  3. I think the later Td5 are the best Defenders going, the last of the true workers. Chipped and straight through exhaust as above makes it beastly!
  4. Used to love my Selway Fisher Prospector, lovely lines.
  5. Cutting timber is very different to this, comparing it is an insult to forestry!

  11. Hmm, here's the pack boat (green) and the big boat (red), the coracle is fairly self explanatory. Had more boats than I care to remember but I'm lacking in pictures of most of them. I'll see what else I can route out Sam
  12. Beat me to it slack... its erm, retro?
  13. Always get big winds here, today is blowing but not that bad. The village we live in is effected by the "Helm Wind" - The Helm Wind is a named wind in Cumbria, England, a strong north-easterly wind which blows down the south-west slope of the Cross Fell escarpment. It is the only named wind in the British Isles, although many other mountain regions in Britain exhibit the same phenomenon when the weather conditions are favourable. It may take its name from the helmet or cap of cloud which forms above Cross Fell, known as the Helm Bar, since a line of clouds over the fells can predict and accompany a Helm. Research into the helm wind was carried out by Gordon Manley in the 1930s. He interpreted the phenomenon in hydrodynamic terms as a "standing wave" and "rotor", a model confirmed in 1939 by glider flights. We had it for about a day a couple of weeks ago. I did two trees the day after, hopefully the slates will stay on tonight!
  14. Decided that I'm going to buy either the Citezen or a Wenger Military one, [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/WENGER-70392-Wenger-Swiss-Watch-Military/dp/B000KAWB5W/ref=sr_1_17?s=watch&ie=UTF8&qid=1335720445&sr=1-17]Wenger Swiss-Watch, Field Military: Amazon.co.uk: Watches[/ame]. Need to find somewhere to handle them in the flesh and then I can decide. Save up slowly and get something a bit more special for dress. Thanks chaps!
  15. I'm also taking agric work to clarify - not a clue about domestic stuff
  16. I just want smoke grenades now. Where do you buy them from and how much?
  17. Fencing seems to suffer from a lot of "contractors" who can't do it! It's such a long term thing if done properly I can't understand why anyone gets cowboys in.
  18. I keep being drawn back to the Malvern Aviator jobby, it is more expensive, but it just looks right. Maybe one of those and a cheap watch for other stuff... 19. Same as the above really, most of the forestry stuff I have done was lone working, always careful = always safe. I also do solo canoe trips that last a week or so on my own, rarely speak to anyone at all and you wouldn't be found for a while if something happened, life is only as dangerous as you make it.
  20. Just to throw another one into the works... Citezen Eco-Drive?
