  1. With the whoopie Sling do you just choke it around the trunk? In the pic it looked like the capston would slap about a lot, how do you eliminate that on the whoopie sling?
  2. Djp I'm always up for a climb I'm going down the route of srt. Check out the rope wrench thread it's the future of srt. Where in Essex are you?
  3. Hi sky what I meant was adding a sling as a extended attachment from harness to sj so you can pull and thrust from underneath the sj, making ascending easier but problem with the sj when doing this it tends to not lock off giving you abit of sit back before it does lock off. One thing I did notice when lowering your weight onto the sj it's best to applying it firmly instead of easing your weight onto the cam as when they get worn they have a tendency to creep so jerking action locks the cam quicker. Just trust it👍. Plus shortening your bridge helps a lot and add a beal pinch to leg of sj to krab this also helps self tending as the sj won't be slapping about.
  4. Attach main line to side ds then put ya lanyard on lower ds.
  5. Exactly like that.👍I stumbled across 3 at the base area. But the customer said she had seen a lot more in one time couldn't tell you a exact figure.
  6. I really appreciate your feed back guys what I will do next week is get more shots of the surroundings so we can see what's fully going on plus il get some pics of the red bugs drilling into the trunk.
  7. Thanks for your fast replys, im afraid I have no more pics but 2 others trees In the same area have immense die back so I'm pretty sure it's ground works have done the damage.so I take it oyster mushroom only lives on dead trees? I just find it strange with the oak that only have the crown has died and the other half has come into leaf heavily.
  8. Hi guys I looked at a oak that had lost half it's crown and is declining rapidly I suspect that roots had be severed for landscaping work.could anyone identify this fungi for me please? Also the tree is riddled with red bugs that look like shield beetles, any ideas what they are?

  12. 10mm that would scare the life out of me climbing on that! You got balls of steel
  13. I hate them had to many times where I would drop over a limb then my flip line would follow smashing me across the face they are clumsy, be ideal for spiking poles tho as mentioned before they are nice to flip.
  14. Ian do you happen to no when this new rw will be out?
  15. Many dealers Out there. Honey brothers,f.r jones, gusharts etc. arb show is your best bet to get one for a good deal.
  16. It's very difficult with sj todo so and I found you could only do it when your rope was at the correct angle. The lj is a lot easier to.
