  1. Let us now how you get on. If the Becket had a pulley wheel over it that would be perfect plus it would put a tighter bend radius in the rope which would be better.
  2. Right guys just finished dismantling a beech using this srt set-up. It worked really well I'm shocked how good it is, it only works with 13mm rope as 11mm doesn't put enough friction around the Becket of the pulley. I think if the pulley had a couple of mods it could be a thing of beauty, I don't want to take anything away from the rw but if anyone wants a cheap way to try srt then this could be it.
  3. Did you get to check any bushes out? ;-).
  4. So do I mate I'm on the case. I just need abit more time to play! I just wish the sj had attachment points either side ,it would make it so much better for srt set ups.
  5. What I would do for a women like that!
  6. It's ok a little stiff! But I think that's just due to the s.j having a side attachment point. I'm going to experiment more with diff tether etc but it works for sure. There is another way you can use it, il upload a pic.
  7. Hi guys call me stupid if ya like but iv been playing about with some kit and come up with this. Ignore the stick as you would put a krab threw there and the krab would be a good attachment point for LOTS. I loaded it and tested it and it works sweet as.
  8. Well you could have a potential buyer!
  9. I can totally agree with that, I just find it harder as I have small hands and the pivet angle can be to awkward for them I struggle getting the right pressure with my thumb when in descent where as I didnt with the original lever.
  10. This is my short lanyard nice and simple. Samson velocity 11mm, art positioner 2.isc snap lock plus isc krab.
  11. Have you tried the longer lever silky? I tried both and I prefer the short lever I feel I had more control on descent but the longer lever did feel better for limbwalking out.
  12. The Velcro does eventually fluff up the dyneema sling. So that's something to watch out for. How you guys finding the new lever, to long?
  13. If it bothers you that much I'd change harness.but you really should stop worrying!
  14. In the same place as yours mate but not as bad! I will keep a eye on it, I rotated my sling round which should help. As there is more clearance a certain way round.
  15. I look at that pin every day on my swivel and it still spooks me.
  16. Like drew said it sounds like the o rig
  17. Thanks for sharing this I have noticed wear on my sling. And I have the rubber in the correct position!
  18. Never practice just always had the attitude that if it ever happened I'd manage.
  19. Thanks mark there will be plenty more pictures to come got a good 4 months playing with veterans, happy days. Back to sloths question. We have been scribing just by running are chainsaws up and down the bark surface. The technique of scoring and abrading of surface tissue can be used by scribing bark to introduce small areas of localised damage intended to encourage callus tissue later forming wound wood, eventually with adventitious shoot flushing from this tissue.
  20. Sorry I wasn't very clear we scribed previous trees on the same site last year that came back well with lots of epicormic.
  21. Exactly that Hama! We had to do a good bit of scribing to promote epicormic and natural habitat features, the tree looked beaten but it will come back well so far what we done last year has proven to come back really well with just little bit of scribing.
